EJ20s love boost so ive heard more than the EJ25s in the us. and IMO subarus are very reliable. i loveo our outback and ask mikeyb hes the automotive news mod with a legacy he should know more than me.

Problem I have with the STi or any Subaru is the engine design, I mean the boxer engine is great, but a b**** to work on. I helped an old friend on his STi change a downpipe and I can tell you after looking at that engine I can see that changing spark plugs, cams, exhaust manifold etc would be a royal PITA.

You are right my friend...my biggest concern with mine was that even if the valve covers start leaking, you need to pull the engine out
