subaru offering 6k off msrp + 0% financing for up to 63 mos

I don't know. I have a sneaking suspicion that the incentives they get are better than that. After all it's rare when a dealer will actually show you the TRUE invoice on a vehicle. In other words I don't trust dealers as far as I can throw them.

Why else would other dealers in the US be offering such a good deal if it wasn't SOA offering the incentive.

Regarding a dealer in Maryland- I read this thread pretty closely because, honestly, I'm excited at the prospect of getting BACK into an STi at a reasonable price. However I don't recall any Maryland dealers mentioned. I only saw Cali, and one Arizona dealer. If there is- let me know I'll drive down with you to take a look and test drive. May even employ your broker if need be.

it was fitzmall.com. the 3 links i saw on honda-tech and they were legit a few days ago, however i went back to them and they are no longer valid, the take you to some used car inventory from their website.

yea and they're willing to give OVER 8k off w/o even asking for it. i just got a reply from them.

The vehicle you inquired about is still available and still in stock. The price of $27640 is based off of the base model STi which you inquired about a BBS package. The exact vehicle's MSRP you inquired about is $38372. I will beat the $8000 discount but I cannot hold any of these vehicles right now. They're all on a first come first serve basis. How soon can you make it in to take advantage of this great deal?

Fuk !!!

Im not positive if my interpretation of the "stairstep" program is correct but from what i've heard and read the bigger dealerships get bigger kick backs from subaru... Ive heard that the high volume dealerships get as much as $8000 for every STI if they sell over a certain amount. Say if their quota was 3 STIs a month and they sell 4 they get somewhere between 5-8K per vehicle. But its only if they beat their quota supplied by Subaru. Again I could be way off though.

And Btw there were no seattle based dealers listed in this thread but I took the print out from the arizona dealership and the cali dealership and only one of the six dealerships I talked to said they couldnt match or beat it.

guys just a heads up for the nj/pa area people...

i just got off the phone with nick at cherry hill subaru and he said they have a black base, and a gray base both available for 5500 off list, 0%.

unfort i wanted silver, so no dice, but these guys seem willing to work....

rofl bringing this back from the dead but here's my story from today - ITS POSTED ON THE OTHER FORUMS, this is for people who aren't on there so skip if you are

ok so i drove 1hr to a dealer that had one in stock and was willing to deal.
this time i actually took a lot of time looking/playing with the interior, then
took it out for an extended test drive. is it me or is the clutch engagement point super high? took awhile to get used to it.

looks way better in person than in pics.

it is fast as s*** from a dig

from a roll, i really feel my ms3 is faster (to be fair i do have an intake). it took awhile for the turbo to spool up in the sti compared to the ms3 BUT it still pulls another 750 rpm before it hits that wall

hated the interior. the seats are nicer material, but when you sit in the ms3 it kinda cradles you with the side bolsters and i feel confident taking her around corners etc..
not the same feeling in the sti

radio was sub par

dash/instrument panel was awesome in the sti, just looks way better imo

suspension was softer than the ms3

all around it "feels" really solid in build quality compared to the ms3, but how much more are you willing to pay for that?

they were asking 31 for it, i asked what they would give me for my 08 ms3 with 11k on the clock, they said 17.

the salesman was the same guy who sold me my ms3 a year ago, he left the mazda dealership and went to the subaru dealership so he knew i wasn't just window shopping. he said 0% 63mos let's do this, i said i'd think about it.

bottom line, it's not worth it to me to add another 15k on top of my ms3 loan.
even if i were shopping for a car right now, @ 30k i'm not sure i would 100% take the sti over an ms3, besides, my trz mounts and bov kit are already on the way to me haha.
gonna take the money i would have spent buying the sti and put it into the ms3 now

yes i know the sti will always be faster than the ms3 and honestly if hp figures and going fast was the top thing on my list when buying a car, i would have gotten the sti.

oh and i hope you guys don't think i'm an ms3 homer, i had EVERY intention of trading the ms3 in if i REALLY liked the sti tonight but i told myself i really needed to feel it was leaps and bounds better than the ms3 for me to drive home with it tonight, hell i even cleaned out my car and glove box in anticipation haha
