Sub and rear 6x9s stopped working :(

Dammit, my sub started acting up again so I I decided to check all the connections. Well, when I started taking off the amp and everything I realized I didn't have all the tools to take the sub enclosure off (I was at my dad's house) so I put everything back on again and now my amp doesn't light up...grrr. Guess I'll check the fuse tomorrow.

I'm assuming that I blew a fuse since I didn't unhook the battery (didn't have the tools). All I had was a screwdriver...

Ok, I just took off the sub enclosure and got everything unscrewed. Problem is, when you try and take off the plastic cover on the sub, it seems to be glued on there. Help! It's dark out now so I stopped working on it..thankfully I don't have to drive my car tomorrow, but I'd like to fix it when I get home. How do I get to the damn sub??

PLastic cover? You mean the grill?

I took off all the screws on the bottom and the bolt threads to get the whole thing open, but it won't come out.

I'm a bit confused, can you take some pics?

Damn, right now I can't since my computer's disassembled. I'm actually posting from my pda..lol. Anyway, I'll try and describe it better.

I figured to get to the internal sub wires you had to remove the sub assembly to get to the wires that connect to the back of the sub since I can see the wires that go through the plastic between the sub and the amp.

I began by unscrewing the wire clamps on the amp, took all the wires off and removed the amp from the assembly. Then, I took off the four bolts that attach the sub assembly to the frame (the two trays that it sits on) and slid it off.

After that I removed all the screws on the underside of the sub enclosure, and still couldn't get the plastic cover off. Duh...the stupid threads from the bolts were holding it in place. Ok, no problem. Removed them with a giant allen wrench.

After all that was done, I tried to take it off and it still wasn't budging in the middle. So I lifted up one of the sides of the plastic and looked inside and saw it's glued in place! How do I get to to the wires?? Hope my long ass story helps you help me. If not I'll have to put it all together again and take it to the dealer, argh!

If you have aim 1sty, please im me. My name on there is juxtahposed or just click on the link under my avatar =). Thanks for trying to help so far, I'm an audio noob.

I tried to see if you can remove the grill but it doesn't look like it comes out...am I missing something?

The sub grill does come off. The problematic connect is at the sub so you have to remove the grill and then the subwoofer.

I haven't doneit in ome time, but I believe its just pressure fit so a simple curved pick tool will be able to pull it off.

Again, its been a while, thats why I wanted pics :D
