Stupid Injen CAI question ..

After instaling mine, I found two new noises. One is from the CAI banging around inside of the fender hole. That was fixed by running some rubber fender trim along the rim of the hole for shock absorbtion. The other is a tap that comes from the valve train. I am under the impression the tap was always there, but when you install the CAI it allows the sound to travel out of the intake because there is less to muffle it. That's my take on it anyhow.

better motor mounts would fix that problem also.

nah, the injen fits fine. it's just not everybody's install is gonna be the same. there's other choices as well with AEM supposedly coming out with a sri as well.

if you just take off the ****** front bumper like the instructions say, then its a really, really easy install. taking off the bumper isnt hard at all.

.. Did I ever say that the install wouldn't have been easy if I just took off the front bumper? All I said was that I didn't want to mess with it, as I have no experience whatsoever with removing such things. Last thing I wanted was to snap somethin' or Christ only knows what, and have a MSP with no front end.

And my general opinions on those instructions? They ******' suck.

no need at all to remove the bumper

just dont tighten all the connection untill everything's in place.
after all the pieces sit in right, tighten the clamps and it will sit perfectly

Looks to me like you need to loosin it up and str8en it up , I know it will fit better than that ! You see it on to many MSP's that fit just fine. Damn y'all.... Ur freakin me out ! Mine wont be here 4 another two weeks.
