Ive been thinking about removing the vinyl stripes off the car. What do you all think? Keep them or take em off?

Here are pics of both.

paint the lower lip red, leave the stripes, lose the eyelids and paint the center wing in the grille black

i dont have the CF lip anymore, sorry i should have posted that up.

EDIT: Ill snap some updated pics of the car today. I havent taken any pics in a while anyway.

Of course I'm bias because I have the stripes as well, only the fronts, but you should totally keep them. Never thought I would put vinyl on any car I owned cause I thought it was ricey, but they're clean and make your car stand out from others

Stripes look sweet. Did you replace the CF lip with something different or is it sans lip now?

Got a pic of it as it sits today?

Thanks everyone for there input so far... Here are a few pics i snapped today. Nothing fancy, just to show you how its sitting right now.

since the above posted pics. Ive removed the front CF lip, added the rear CF extension, blacked out side markers and rear side reflectors.

Ive considered painting the center grill piece black like someone suggested earlier, but didnt want to over due the black accents. Thats why i was thinking about removing the stripes and going with something a little more subtle. Like a simple gold accent pinstripe down the bodyline. Its tough because i like the black vinyl and it cost $$, but sometimes i want a little less flare going down the street. Im torn... (braindead

Man, the eye lids really flow with the car well. Keep it as is.

BTW, why'd you ditch the lip? It looked good!

Keep the stripes. Looks good on your, but it looked better when you had the front lip on. I too want to know why you ditched the lip. It seemed to tie everything together.

I do some vinyl work and your vinyl guy did an awesome job with the stripes front and back.

Thanks for the compliments. Money was tight and the lip is something i could live without. I was going to paint part of it red so it flowed a little bit better, but didnt want to decrease resale value. So it had to go.

The votes are seeming to go one way. Thanks again for yor help

Thanks, I put them on myself. The hard part is the fact that they didnt come with any transfer paper. So it was a really wet install just to be certain to not mess them up.

A little late chiming in, and nothing unique to say, so I'll just repeat that I think they look sharp on a TR. Keep 'em.

I considered a set of those on my MGM, but can't think of a color that'd look good. Every color combo I see in my head is either too subtle to bother (like black), or an eyesore against the dark grey paint.

Black on red, though, is classic.

loose the stripes. less is more. if you have to start a thread because you are second guessing yourself, its for a reason.
