I have no clue, they were going to settle this monday, idk what this will do to my settlement.

if it's just stripped and not crashed, they may just cover the cost to return it back to normal. my cousin's GSR was stripped a few years back, they took everything that was unboltable. the only thing they didn't take was the engine. but they recovered it and replaced everything else and returned it back to him. But if yours was crashed somehow, they may just total it.

wow ghost...that really sucks...its like you'd rather them not find it than see it in such horrible condition...good luck

BTW - Whomever suggested Race Dezign, they are currently being investigated for some shady stuff, but you didn't hear that from me.

Didn't hear it from you? Then why are you posting it in a public forum?

What you are doing here is called slander. I'd suggest not doing that especially when it's hearsay.

That is just the work of some stupid, selfish and ignorant little kids. Sorry to see those pictures.

You don't remember "You didn't hear that from me, cause I'm not one to gossip!" It's a joke from In Living Color.

They are in fact being investigated, it may be heresay but it comes from a very reliable source, i.e. Beaverton Police Dept Detective that is the brother of a friend of mine. He located the guys that tried to steal my SC Dakota R/T in SE PDX when the PDX cops wouldn't do anything about it.

They may be your buddies, but remember when the Stereo King in Beaverton on canyon was installing siren bypass switches under the driver's rocker panel so they could go steal stuff back? It's just a word of warning, take it how you want.

My wife is an attorney, I'll discuss the legal ramifications of what I said with her when she gets home. It is my opinion based on information I received from a source directly involved in the investigation. I got this info after my brother went in to buy a 1JZ from them, and the VINs were scratched off. So I checked it out. You'd be amazed how many shops are investigated on a routine basis.

I relayed information true to my understanding to protect forum members, that is not a bad thing. Whatever your gripe is with me, I don't care, was planning on doing a lot of business with you soon, but maybe I'll skip the middle man now.

It's not a matter of me being friends with them or not really, that has nothing to do with it either way here. I would never stand up for a friend who was doing something wrong anyway. To be hoenst with you I do not have a problem with you beyond the fact how I don't think it's not cool how you talk down to people and businesses at times when it's not needed (if you end up deleted/editing them or not). This also being considered protecting forum members  Nor did I threaten you in any manor. I wouldn't have said anything if this was the first time I've read such a thing.

Such things bother me though.

I have no idea what Stereo King has to do with this though.

The only thing I can do is I guess defend myself in this matter by telling the people of the forums that I as owner and employees of Racedezign have NEVER, in 7 years of business, participated in theft of vehicles or their parts.
On the other hand we have had individuals not affiliated with Racedezign, or partners, come to our location in Portland and Beaverton offering complete engine sets. Multnomah County, Washington County, and City of Beaverton all know that we call VIN numbers from all motors that we purchase from individuals. In a couple cases we had the persons leave engines in front of out shop after knowing we were calling the VIN number in to authorities. I DO NOT like thiefs! I have also had items stolen from home and my business, so I know how it feels.
In the past I have invited Beaverton Police into my shop whenever they would like to check out my shop and I also invite you, Britt, to stop by if you have never done so, to see that we are not the type of people you describe us as. Otherwise if you further discuss any matter involving us in any wrongfull way I will be forced to take legal action on you. And by the way we have never sold a 1JZ. Quit trying to point a finger if you don't even know where to point.
And Ghost, sorry to see the outcome of your once Beautiful Civic. Any help I am able to give don't hesitate to ask. Its sad seeing a work of art being wasted like that.

Well I appreciate the personal response Fred. What I did say was that my brother had gone in to buy a 1JZ, which he did not due to the fact that however the process developed, had bad VINs. I talked with him about it last night, and he said that he was offered this engine through an individual at the store on a personal sale basis, so for my misunderstanding, I apologize, his original statement had led me to believe that the engine was at the shop and being sold by your shop. He was offered the engine through your shop though and this does look bad. Admittedly this was incorrect. But this was also well over a year ago.

However, as you do admit, the engines and cut up cars and such that are outside your shop are routinely checked out.

Anyways, I will apologize to you, for reporting semi-erroneous information, which I was in fact doing to protect forum members against fraud that does happen in this area with other shops, and suspected fraud which is routinely investigated by BPD.

So as far as this is concerned, I do apologize, will not report any suspect information to forum members in the future.
