stock turbo?

Silly lil guy, im almost 100% positive ms6mike through on a bigger turbo had it tuned "safely" ands still blew his motor. Sad day. Research more before you decide to post.

You DO know that there are people who do not know how to tune right? A tune is only as good as the Tuner himself. There are tons of horror stories where people blew their motors on a supposedly "safe" tune by a supposedly "reputable" shop

Probably 99% of people who get their cars tuned don't actually understand the whole concept 100%. Its all about the reputation of your tuner and his shop and how much this guy can be trusted.

There are more to just a tune to blow your motor, but a tune is the most essential part of having your car run safe and make big power.

Obvoiusly, YOU are the one that needs to learn more about these issues.

Your "Our engines cannot keep up w/ ATP turbos" is one of the stupidest comments I'd heard in a while".

I'm sure people who know even a little about modifying cars would agree w/ me.

(scratch) you just contradicted yourself. the point being made is that bigger turbos are not necessarily a good thing...and you just proved it with the example of mike blowing his engine...

see your own post...be careful now!

Im not sure how I contradicted myself. Anyway well we no longer have to discuss this. This is very worthless argument, to each his own opinion.

If you say so but this argument is based on facts bro, not any opinions. I don't think its worthless at all since there are people who think that our engines suck w/ upgraded turbo when they don't have the slightest clue on how a boosted motor makes power.

"to each their own"??? lmao. Its not like were talking about how much you like my new wheels....

I think you need a hug or something man, your panties have madly bunched up on this convo. I believe what i believe and you can believe what you wanna believe but I am not gonna argue this with ya. So go ahead and take your dress off and stop worrying about this argument.

Yes and no on the fuel system upgrades. They are out there but there is some testing that is still required as far as reliability and quality is concerned.
JCGEMT2003 has a big turbo upgrade on his stock block and has had no issues as of yet and he has put thousands of miles on his car since the install with the stock fuel system also. I'm not sure on his exact mileage but I know it is up there.

I would love to see a Walbro and some injectors from RC. Also maybe some sort of high flow fuel rail. then we're talking Big #'s w/ the GT3076R.

well the only company out there with any kind of fuel injector for Direct injection is APR. someone here managed to make a walbro work with some modification, I think his name is MS6MIKE. I don't think a rail is necessary with this type of fuel system.

evoX??? dude if your going to buy an evo ten then just stick with the speed 6 or buy an eight to nine!

not trying to start an argument...but why would you do that?? The EVO X is a superior handling machine to all the cars you just mentioned, including the one we all drive. Reading any automotive magazine covering the car and they'l tell you the same. The car's ridiculous. It's estimated at a 5.0 0-60 by Mitsu but I guarantee that it will put down better numbers as the new STi just did after also having a conservative 5.0 0-60 prediction from Subaru. The Evo's and the STi's of the world are what every driver that has a Speed6 hopes to overtake when they mod, suggesting to keep your Speed 6 or buy an Evo 8 or 9 is just silly. The 8 or 9 may look better to you or others, but that is purely subjective. In every handling statistic recorded the 10 is the better car. Oh, that and it lapped much quicker than any stock 8 or 9 did. And I love my Speed 6, but it is not in the same league as an STi or Evo...I've owned an STi and they are two completely different cars, only comparable by the number of doors, all wheel drive and having a trubo.

MS6Mike didnt get a walbro he was full of s***

Group of people on the "other" m6 forum did the research and found out you have to buy a 150$ tool from mazda to do it. They all pitched in, the Walbro's dont fit in a reliable manner even with a modded fuel bucket without issues. The walbro are too long and too wide.

The EVO X became a heavy pig w/loads of unnecesary gadgets. It weigh over 3500lbs and claims by mitsu that it will lap faster than the IX MR is pure speculation. The pre X evos were the rawest of the raw.

It was already tested in tsukuba in japan and the IX spanked the X GSR and MR by a mile.

LOL if you believe all the crap that Motor Trend or what ever any regular magazine says. People who work in those magazines can't drive for s***.

For the everyday drivers like you and I, most likely won't notice too much of a difference.
