Stock Tire Brand and Model for 2.5 GT?

Yeah, I know that, but doesn't change the fact that still is too early for people to confirm if OEM tires are good or bad. That's basically what. I was saying, and why I'm on the fence of getting different tires.

The stock tires aren't bad, it's just noisy and stiff and that was the main reason I changed them out so early. If I remember correctly, it handles fine too.

My 225/45/18 are slightly wider, the same circumference 45,one pound lighter than stocks and the tread width is 8.1 compared to 7.7,less than a half inch wider?when I bought them it was a given that this was the size of choice, only 2 cars in their data base showed they use 215s what if you lose a tire?that is why they don't stock em. I am hoping the mileage difference is negligible.performance difference is a goodly difference with with pilot super sports.

Our 2008 (17" wheels) came with the worst OEM tires I've ever had on a car. We routinely chirped the tires just pulling away from a stop sign, and in the wet the traction control was constantly kicking in. After the first time in a couple inches of snow, I immediately bought a full set of wheels & winter tires. The only good thing about the OEM Goodyears was that they were shot in about 18K miles and I could trash them!

Surely the tires on the 2014s can't be as bad as that, can they? OTOH, given another winter like this one, I'll be getting a winter set from TireRack again by November in any case!
