Stock subwoofer

Hi everyone I just bought me a P5 2003 and wanted to kno where the stock subwoofer was located and what size is the woofer?

Pretty sure it has to be a 2003.5 P5. They deleted the roof rack, added the spare tire sub. (so it should be there)

I have a 2003 (roof rack, no sub).

2003.5 = sub, no rack. 2003 = rack, no sub. Mine must be 2003.25 because it came with sub & roof rack. The answer to the OP questions = in the spare tire & 10" ?

Probably a 4" or 6". Otherwise it would have no air to move...

Man who told me that is 8", I was like...not way unless they can drill a hole in the middle for the bolt. But if you say they are dual 6", that makes sense. The sub still feel smaller than that though.
it's rated 100W, and since it does not say it's RMS value we can assume that is the peak power.
And, if the car is from canada and is 2003.5 is might be pre-wired, but you can't see the wire in the trunk. The pre-wired wire is hidden. So if you saw the wire, I guess that means the previous owner took the sub away, but kind enough to leave you the harness...

I was cleaning out my car today and going through my service records when I came across the "OEM subwoofer user's manual". It claims a 5 1/8" woofer.
BTW I also got the sub and the roof rack in my 2003.5 P5

is there a spot on the car that tells u thats its 03.5?
cause car came with wires.....but it's got the LOC in the stock unit, so im guessin its aftermarket right?
i dunno much on audio.

if you got a loc....more than likely aftermarket install and the orig owner just pulled what he could

yeah i know that pain.....just take your time....and right now there will be some killer deals on HUs with all the year models coming out.....

just get one thing at a time:

front speakers (3 or 4 way)
rears(2 way)
HU
then go futher with a 4ch amp for the doors, subs and so forth.


when ya get that far and would like help wiring or building a box yell....i got buddies up in dallas and i'm sure i'll be up there every so often

haha i got a 4channel amp (Alpine V-power)
and the momo 10" sub/box already 100$ from a friend at church who was sellin his car 2 years back.
all great condition too.

but sound can wait. performance is a must be done first

LOL Ditto on that, man. I eventually replaced my stock tire well sub with a 12" aftermarket sub in a sealed box.....muuuch better for what I needed. (burnout)

I also have (well had, now - just totalled!) an '03, w/ both roof rack AND spare tire subwoofer.
Actually I was quite happy w/ the sound system, mine had seperate tweeters in the front corner window sills, plus the ones in te hdoor (does teh tsock HU have a crossover?), 7 speakers (well 6.1 I guess) altogether.

On a similar note, is there any/much value in that unit? I know it's small but pretty cool to get a sub w/o losing trunk space, esp if it's pre-wired for it...?
I literally just got off teh phone settling w/ teh insurance company, they said I could could get it out (since they refuse to admit it adds any value) but it's a long drive a buttfunky cold, plus soem crowbar work to get teh destroyed hatch out of the way first...
