stock sub removal

i believe you need to remove the top deck inside the cabin in order to get at the screws.
How? i will let someone else chime in.

You have to remove the rear deck to get to the screws. I found a thread explaining step by step on another forum site so you cud try googling it but the key part that I remember is that you have to drop the seats down and remove the pillars with the airbags behind them. There is a screw behind the little SRS sign on the pillars, just pull out that piece of plastic with a flathead. Hope that helps

OH i did this today! no write up but ill give you the low down
step 1. remove the clips on the back panel in the trunk and pull that out.
step 2. after that theres 2 levers towards the top that fold down the seats.
step 3. pull forward the sides of the back seats, towards the top theres another lever(black lever inside a white casing) that will release these, kinda hard to find, but its towards the top.
step 4. remove the C pillars. its a couple clips and one screw on each side behind the SRS panel
step 5. remove the clips holding the upper deck and pull it up and forward
step 6. YOUR DONE!

Noticed a HUGE rattle coming from the stock sub today. The adhesive holding the magnet to the center of the cone (strange design) had let go. Had to go through taking all these steps above just to get to the sub and jb weld the bastard back together. Thanks for the info, i was getting pissed and about to rip that bose cover right off!

yeah thats actually the exact same problem i had with mine. cant wait to replace the crappy bose system even though thats not priority on my list.

I have the stock sub wired up to my KVT-614 and the little guy gets loud (Sloppy). A sealed sub sounds WAY better.

that rattle is the BOSE logo itself i too had this annoying rattle and i just pried it off with some pliers. hope this helps
