I have nearly 40..and have been rotating them every 2 oil changes..like 6k...and the wear..is very even..and i still have like 50% tread left!

Chas

im at 25000km (15k miles) in 11 months and they still look pretty good. Maybe something else is wrong ? suspension or something, i dont know what exactly can cause that kind of problem

Mine lasted me around 28k. But they needed replaced way sooner than that, I was just too broke... :D

Things to help!
1-stop doing burn outs!
2-stop doing autoX's
3-if ya got any suspension work done..make sure you take the car in for an alignement..& camber.& toe...

Good luck

I've got 12k and 4 auto-xes on my original Dunlops. The wear pattern looks pretty normal to me. I expect them to last another 12-15 thousand miles, with ease.

You're not driving hard enough. :D

every new car ive driven had soft compound tyres mounted factory. maybe its for wet weather performance..they are "all seasons" not z rated meatz.

i just turned 1000 miles on my mp5...i think tha stock tyres blow, first thing to be replaced.

before the X was traded in i had 450.00 worth of kelly navigator golds mounted...16" :) personally i think they're awesome tyres for twisty virginia roads.

Got 47k out of OE Dunlops with only 2 rotations(not recommending this schedule, it just happened that way), and just replaced with Kumho 712 Supra's. The tires actually wore very evenly despite my bad rotation schedule, and i probably could have gone another 5k on them, but I'm on the road constantly(45-50k miles/year) and didn't need any tire problems. As long as you are running correct tire pressure, have a good alignment, and are rotating regularly, oh, and not driving like M. Schumaker, you should be fine.

When I had my ES, I did the same thing. My stock Dunlops lasted about 30K and I replaced them with Kumho 712's. I could have gotten about 10K more miles out of the Dunlops, but I couldn't stand how poorly they handled in the rain. Oh yeah, I can't stress the air pressure and rotations enough....they make a big difference.

You are exactly right mazdadan, my Dunlops were a nightmare in the rain (w/47k on them) as well, and not worth an accident to get 5-10k more miles out of them. Sweet truck btw, and fantastic engine. If you haven't already, you should check out what Banks engineering can do with your motor, holy freaking cow! Hope I'm not thread jacking? Sorry!

I had the same problem, my front right tire was gone after like 8 thousend miles. My alignment was messed up, and my tire pressure was low because of a decent sized leak. I would check the PSI, check to see if your alignment drifts, and rotate those things ASAP!

I Live in Seattle, and we just set a record yesterday for the most rain in 24 hours! That morning I was hydroplaning all over. I drove to Discount Tire and asked for four Yokohama Prada spec 2's in a 205/45/16. What a difference it made driving home! I have so much more traction, I wish I'd done this mod way before now.

Also, the circumference is shorter, so I get more "power". I highly recommend dumping the POS Dunlops.
