Stock OEM Steel Wheel (Sport trim) Weight?

My sincere apologies if this has already been covered on the forum, but I was just wondering if anyone knew off hand how much one of the steel wheels on the Sport '2 weighed. I'm thinking about getting new wheels, and I know it won't provide any huge upgrade, but I wanted to get an idea of how much lighter the 'lightweight' wheels are over the stock steel ones.

Thanks!

lightweight wheels are a pretty huge upgrade considering you don't weigh them down too much with heavier tires!

stock steelie weigh 16 pounds each.

stock yokohama all seasons weigh 16 pounds each

just to throw out a few ideas:

konig heliums are ~11 pounds each for 15x6.5
enkei RPF1 are ~10 pounds each for 15x7
949racing 6UL are ~11.5 pounds each for 15x7
momo podiums are ~13 pounds each for 15x7

The thing most commonly overlooked is how lightweight our stock tire is, if you lose 3 pounds per rim weight, but gain 3 extra pounds per tire, you only broke even!

Cool, that's about what I was guessing. I was thinking somewhere between 15 and 20 on the wheels.

Seeing as I'm a college student, I don't have too much money to throw at new wheels AND tires, so I thought I'd upgrade the wheels and keep the stock rubber on them for awhile (the tires are still in good shape). Could I use the stock Yokohamas on the Konig or Enkei wheels? Those were the ones I was looking at previously, but I know the stock wheels are 15x6.

My hope was that, if I could save 5 pounds per wheel, I could shave 20+ pounds off the weight of the car, which always helps!

Never mind on the question: I don't have an acumen for tire fitment, but I assume if Tire Rack says it'll fit, then it'll fit. I'm not planning on upgrading from the OEM wheel/tire size, as I want to keep the ride reasonably comfortable.

185's will definitely fit a 6.5" rim, 7" may start to have a bit of a "stretched" look but nothing "hellaflush"
