My stock hood weighs in at 34lbs. My WingsWest EVO hood weighs 17lbs, but there are lighter ones out there than that. I think iON has one that weighs about 10lbs.
Yup, I just weighed it. I stood on the scale and got a reading of what I weigh, and then again while holding the hood. Then I did the same thing with the extra EVO hood I have in the spare room. I actually thought that the EVO hood would be a little lighter than 17, but I guess not.
Aren't the P5 and MSP hoods the same?? why the difference in weight between MrFoggy and 505zoom's hoods? And my WW Evo hood did in fact weigh in at 17 lbs. I haven't bothered weighing the stock although I could.

if someone ships me a scale i will weigh my stock hood. it is sitting in my living room.
but from another post i started before i gather that the stock hood was about 45lbs, the CF hood will save about 30lbs. not that much of a weight savings.
Somethings wrong here. Hold a 25 ib weight in one hand and an the deck in the other. I can't imagine the radio weighing that much. Most aftermarket decks weigh under 5 pounds. I can't image the factory deck being more then 10 pounds.
