Just ordered my new 3 should be driving it within the next couple of weeks, but have one question

Can an amp be plugged into the stock stereo, I keep hearing comments about the quality of the stock and really don't want to hack up the dash to put and after market unit in place.

Yes you can connect an amp to the stock stereo. You'll either have to get an amp with speaker level connectors or use some line-out (hi/low) convertors and then connect an amp with RCA inputs. Either way, some minor "hacking" is required.
