STi vs. EVO

the MR has a 6 speed

i think that's overpriced but i can't say i really follow the market. see what kbb or edmunds says. new they were going for 32-33, something like that. when pricing any mitsu never worry about what the original MSRP was just the original invoice. some people paid MSRP but every mitsu ever at some point has sold at invoice + incentives. so $7k off with 44k on it after 3 years doesn't seem like enough off to me.

also to note those tails either have an overlay or are painted. there's also the sticker right above the exhaust. i also believe they switched the gauges around with the radio - i think the stock gauges (if you got them) are down low. also looks like there's a turbo timer. that makes me think it's a "returned to stock" evo which is a big turnoff

blah blah blah sti or evo blah blah blah, those seem to be the only cars everyone ever wants to get and this topic always come up on every forum like they are the "epitomy" of the car to get. I'll be happy when something better than those comes out so people can get off the sti and evo bandwagon. Nothing special about those cars they are both ugly looking sedans

thats good to know. when i go look and consider either car im going to try to get out the door at around 25k... hopefully under 40000 miles, and virtually stock. im still at least a couple months away but i want an idea of how much i will be looking at

My friend had an Evo IX that was 405 whp, car was damn impressive to say the least. But personally I would go with an Sti if I had the choice. They just seem more balanced in terms of interior, quality, performance etc... Its totally up to you tho, they are both equally amazing vehicles IMO

i dunno much about these 2 cars.. but i definitely like the STI more because of the way it sounds and especially the way it looks.. if they still had the old sedan body at the time i bought the ms3, i would have definitely bought an STI even for 10K more.
