damn, i finally got around to reading this thread

i've got one of the slowest proteges, a 1.6L automatic, and i notice a helluva difference with the system in, or out

course my current box weighs in at about 110 lbs, which was down from 150 lbs from my old one

and that is for my single 10

course that 10 adds 43 lbs itself

not to mention about 80 sq ft of sound dampening, a run of 1/0 cable front to rear, two 4 guage cables front to rear, an MDF floor, and 2 amps, one of which is huge and puts out 2300 watts

yeah, i've given up on going fast

and hopefully tomorrow my new alternator will be done
