Stereo help

After reading various threads I am confused on what I should do. I have the Bose system in my 03 which i havent picked up yet , but I also have 4 alpine 5x7 door speakers an Alpine HU that integrates with my ipod and a 10" alpine sub and box with amp out of my old vehicle. Should I just hook up my sub and amp to Bose and buy the ipod adapter for the Bose HU or should I switch everything out. Does the Bose have a Sub control setting. Please Help .

thanks

No sub control setting one the bose radio, but you can tap the rcas for your sub amp into the signal wires at the amp on the stock bose sub.

The bose speakers are two ohms, so you'll lose alot of volume if you try to run your 4 ohm alpine 5x7's off the bose amp.

I hope you read this thread:
6/MS6 Factory Radio Upgrade Options (plus MP3 options!!!)

For your situation you have two options:
1) Remove the bose sub and tap into the sub amp signal for your Alpine amp and subwoofer.
2) Remove everything and install all of your equipment.

I think you should hold off on doing anything until you have evaluated the bose stereo for a few weeks. It really isn't that bad a system but it lacks the detail and intensity of an aftermarket system.

after hooking up my sub and amp it sounds like crap. should i run the bass boost or not. Maybe it sounds different than in my extended cab ranger because its in the trunk. what should i do with the crossover? any suggestions

thanks

Which speaker are you getting the sound from? The sub right? Make sure everything is grounded right and you might want to turn up the bass boost, no need to put in the sealed adapter either.
