I have contacted metra about their steering wheel interface and they said that ASWC-1 should work but they have not tested it.
I have searched all over the internet and this is a website I came up with. I have the sport model and I have installed a Kenwood dnx9990hd with kenwood backup camera cmos 310 / metra dash kit / metra antenna amp / metra wiring harness. everything is working amazing except that I purchased the PAC Audio steering wheel interface and it didnt work. has anybody here in this forum tested it? I just want to be able to control volume up/down and mute. thx in advance.

I was wondering if anyone has tried the iDatalink Maestro? It claims to be programmable to any car, but doesn't list the CX-5 as being compatible on their web site. I like the feature that they have a secondary "long press" to each button because my Sport has limited buttons and I can use the steering wheel controls for scanning as I listen to a lot of podcast/audiobooks. If I don't hear anything soon, I am going to go with the AXWC as it appears many people have gotten it to work.

FYI, I will be installing a Kenwood DNX690HD.
