steering recall

I just heard that Mazda is recalling 2007-2009 Mazda 3 for power steering pump issues. Anyone know if this also applies to the mazdaspeed 3?

It isn't clear. No VINs are referenced that I could find. Just a manufacture date range of April, '07 through November, '08.

I agree this doesn't involve the ms3, called the dealer this morning and the tech said no. Different system than the regular 3

The regular 3 has an electric pump while the MS3 has a hydraulic. Recall is on the electric pump system.

it clearly states on the bulletin that Mazdaspeed vehicles are excluded.

for what it is worth, here is something that shows what ms3 has vs. regular 3.

top is regular 3, bottom is ms3. and yes there are two pages since the component list runs into the next page.
