what are u trying to fit in the trunk? i had a 04 3 with 2 15's in it......barely any trunk pace but the box and speakers were ridiculously big....proclam said:Anyone know of any manufacturer making a stealth box for our 3s? I'm not so confident about that site. JL Audio does not authorize online sales so some if not all of the products they sell come with lovely voided warranties because they are most likely not an authorized online vendor.clos561 said:try www.millionbuy.com the have alot of subs and stuff really really cheap and the have a few boxes u might be able to use....
chuyler1 said:The eD sub opens up some possibilities but there are other companies that make similar models such as Pioneer.

chuyler1 said:From the sound of it, you really don't have room for a subwoofer in your car. Even if you built a custom fiberglass enclosure it would still take up quite a bit of space. Your best bet is probably to upgrade the speakers in the front and rear and install a 4-channel aftermarket amp under one of the seats. It won't pound like a 12" sub but it will be a big improvement.
u can get a 10" sub in a single sub box and put a metal grill over the sub so when u put stuf like big bags in ur trunk u wont break the sub....u can get mono amps very cheap at that website...and they are small ...u can screw the amp on the back of the box so if you have to remove the sub its all together , jsut unplug the ground, power and the pos n neg cables which would take 2 mins.....a single sub box shouldnt be a problem if u have the back seats folded down.proclam said:I am a Fire Fighter, and I float, which means I do not have a station bid. Therefore I have to carry my gear from station to station. Not sure if you have ever seen a bag with bunker gear but it fills about half of my hatch. The rest of it is taken by my bedding and a bag with work clothes. So space is at a premium. Also I can not afford to lose my spare in case I get a flat on the way to work, that would be hard to explain to the Captain or Chief for that matter.
benzo said:I dont think I would go this route. I think you best bet would be a amp and sub setup with quick disconnects. Or if you are still stuck on the idea...how about this----->http://www.crutchfield.com/S-7Obzq1...W1&search=compact+car+audio+powered+subwoofer
That looks pretty interesting. Thanks. Definitely like the size factor. Has anyone actually heard what it sounds like?MM3Canuck said:Or try this
