2003 MazdaSpeed Protege
hey guys,

now that i am almost finished college for the year, I have started putting alot more time and effort into my own business. I am basically a consultant, but I do alot of my own work projects too(depending on if its worth my time). anyways, my partner and I are moving into our new shop/offices and we are going to be putting out some products for the Mazdaspeed protege once we get settled in. We are probobly going to be developing things that are not already on the market. We have access to a windtunnel that we are hoping to put to good use (my partner works for an engineering firm that just got the bid to design the way the new world trade centers acts in the wind) and I have a few other ideas bouncing around. If you guys are interested here are some pics of the new place:

The length of the indoors is just long enough for me to hit 2nd gear hard and then slow down in time lol ill post a vid up some time. (drive)

we are not going to be going 100% into this like MAM or HiBoost etc. but I have a few things that are too good not to share with the msp world, so we will be putting out some stuff. Its really just a hobby for me right now. Im working on the first batch of product. When 10 are finished they will be out on our site (that we havent made yet lol damn finals) so thinking end of april. anyways, if you guys need anything made or have any suggestions or requests for particular product, let me know.

TTYL, Jeff

Its great that you are trying to make stuff for the msp and good luck with it.

But honestly if you are trying to make money start making parts for a civic, there are many more of those cars out there and there is a huge market.

he said it was a hobby..i doubt its for the money. if i was able, and was in it for the money, i would still rather make parts for the msp than the civic.

..anyway, good luck with the business jeff, im sure youll do great!

yeah, no offense to mazdaspeed community, bit if i was in it for the money I would have went elsewhere. I have my owns means to finance the business, this is just something I want to do with my spare time over the summer.

well im just gonna release them when they are made. I dont have a vendor status or any of that jazz yet. I hope to have the first done earlier than expected now as I found a better supplier than I had before. I guess i should go pm somebody about that vendor stuff before i start talking about stuff anymore.

cool man. Its allways a good thing for new ideas and new products to be infused into the market. Keeps it all fresh. Props for doing this. Hopefully tou still make a decent profit too. Let us know what your thinking about doing!

ok one of the things we are working on is a hardpipe that replaces the stock IC to TB pipe. It will also relocate the maf sensor and IAT sensor. I havent finished testing its reliability enough to sell them yet though. The pipe is mandrel bent and can be used with a SMIC or the begi MS specific FMIC. Thats all I can really tell you aside from the hesitation is improved and fuel cut is not as frequent. Ill post everything up when its done, but its gonna be a bit, end of april early may. im doing dyno testing as well as an endurance test for the maf and trying out the maf at different lengths from the IC or TB etc. better done right then wrong. btw I believe this will also improve on the accuracy of dsms air fuel controller, but since i dont own one i cannot confirm.

Jeff, its good to see another person jump aboard and be a vendor to bring us some more cool parts to reach our goal of having a smooth running msp. I was reading about Casopolis's setup and I was having trouble visualizing this working with a forge bov. Is it just me, Or would the forge have to be moved also. I enjoy my forge unit and don't want to part with it. Its much quieter than some of the other valves and thats a bonus being in cali with all the smog laws. Oh yea, any updates for us?
