Stalling Issues

Hey folks I have a 02 Protege5, and when I start it, after its been sitting over night or after work about 8-12 hours the car stall out. I have to restart it or as I pull out and drive it does'nt want to pick up speed or get in gear(auto Transmission). after the first stall out in the day it wont happen until its been sitting for a few hours any idea what might be the issue

how high is the idle (in park or neutral) in the minute after it first starts? Should be like 1500 RPM or so, not lower.

its in park and i'll have to check the rpm's and yes it happens all while in park
