Stage 2 + sf v 1.05 installed. First impressions!!

Ya if you have tried all the maps time for a custom tune. I would take it easy lol your holding a ton of boost. Almost 22 psi . . . wowza. Who knows what would happen if you added a TMIC to the mix. BOOM would be my guess

yeah just got email back from Tim Baily at Surgeline tuning in Portland...Im gonna get custom tune with in a week. and I was still have same KR with my stock bpv LOL WUT...so **** it dont worry about that part of it..get it tuned :)

I may just have to. Not sure if anyone around the chicagoland area is familar with MS3's or not so I will have to look around. Maybe I'll get in contact with COBB and see if they can't get me an E-tune that works.

And you even upgraded your plugs, what if you try going to a stage 1 for now?

Yeah, I have the one step colder denso's in there. I will try and load stage 1 and see how the car does with it. I just checked cobb's webpage and I guess AMS has the ability to tune my car so I am going to shoot them an Email and see what they can do. They are the EVO tuning gods so if they will work on my Mazda I'll let them have a crack at it.

yeah I would contact cobb see what they say...Im getting my hands on a ets 3.5 in tmic hopefully and that along with my other mods with custom tune at surgeline should yield some good numbers..but im gonna take it super easy on my car. I will say that stage 1 is prabaly been the safest map ive used for my car with my mods..so go ahead and try that LOL WUT and see if that helps you. You prabaly should take it easy on your car too..start googling some good tuners in chicago area...when I get on the phone with surgeline later I will ask Tim if he knows any good tuners in that area :)

Thanks a lot ZX2Man! I am going to take it easy for a bit until I figure out how to take care of this KR. I sent AMS an email to see what they can do about tuning my car so hopefully that works out. I just got back from running stage 1 and I was still seeing some bad KR so I am just going to call it quits until I either get Meth and a FMIC or get to a tuner.

HAHA no...thats why im getting a custom tune..my car just hates ots maps..I tried this version 105 just to see if anything got better and no it didnt..but ummm yeah..im not kosher with it no.

At 21 pounds of boost it probably runs like a scalded cat, though. You'd clean my clock. Custom tune would get you back to a safe and reliable 17-18 with good trims, but maybe I'm just too conservative about the safety of Cobb's stage 2 targets.

NO your not being to conservative MSMS3..your thinking common sence wise regarding this ms3 platform and your right..consistent 21 psi on stock internals imo is not good..so im with ya there. anyways Ill be getting my 3.5in ets tmic in few days and im scheduled for a custom tune at surgeline on the 17th. I will try to make a video of it and hopefully have it posted on the cobb and mazda247 forums..hoping to flirt with 300 whp..well see..more important than power is running a safe tuned car!!!!!!!! :) :) and good luck LOL WUT!

Thanks! I bet you'll be flirting with 300 at the wheel, you deff have the set up for it :). Good luck to you too!

Wow.......

Just for s**** and giggles today I loaded up Stage 2+ SF 91 to see if I was still getting nasty KR. After driving 60 miles AND putting a gallon of 100 octane in the car I STILL saw 5.xx* of KR. So I switched to stage 1 + SF 93 and still saw the exact same KR. It doesn't seem to matter what tune I run, even with 100 octane mixed in with my normal 93, my data logs still show 5.95 KR in 4th gear from 4800-5800 RPM. This is pretty stupid lol. I know I know I need a custom tune, I just find it funny we spend 700$ on a tuner and then have to go pay more for a tune that works properly :). Not hating on COBB at all, I love the AP but it's just a headache trying to remedy all of this KR.

something may be wrong with your ap. you're not able to log the correct afr, ltft and possibly kr. who knows what else might be off.
actually i have not hear of any other person having these issues with their ap.
do you have a dh or can you borrow one?

LOL WUT,

I posted in your other thread, but i will post it here too. You O2 sensor appears to be non-functional. You are seeing a constant AFR and 0 fuel trims, this would indicate that the sensor is not reading AFR anymore and that the car has no idea what fueling is, that is probably why you are seeing so much knock correction, without any fueling input the ECU has no choice but to pull timing. Replace that sensor and I imagine you will see much better performance.

Thanks for the reply travis! Which O2 sensor do you suggest I replace?

I ordered a new primary 02/wideband sensor this evening and I am having it over-nighted. Ill be sure to post here to let you know if the problem is resolved. Thanks so much for the help!
