Sorry, but I couldn't find any threads on this. Anyone running J-speeds short shifter plate. I know he has come out with a new one, but I wanted to get some insight on users comments about it.

i have one installed on my ride. i like the shorter throws but i don't like that the shift linkage rubs together(yupnope)

Mi-TMS3,

Regarding your shift linkage rubbing, are you sure that you have the SSP positioned as far left as possible? The included instructions require that the SSP be slid as far left as possible to keep the shift linkage from rubbing.

Koston33, we would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have regarding the J-Speed SSP, feel free to let us know!

I have been wondering about this as well. What are the differences, advantages/disadvantages between TWM, J-Speed, Jabrone, etc.?

ya the Jabrone, seems interesting too. Anyone running this plate.

I am; I can't say enough good stuff about the JBarone SSP; great quality, comes with EVERYTHING you need and his customer service is unparalleled; run a few searches and you'll see what I mean.

by left do you mean the position closest to the front of the car like how it moves the nuetral position of the shifter forward?

Since everyone at J-SPEED Inc is busy assisting other customers I thought I'd jump in and answer your question. You'll want to loosen both mounting bolts and pivot the plate towards the rear of the car to alleviate the boot from rubbing.

For those of you following this tread my kits do not rub, provide the shortest throw, and come complete with all the proper mounting hardware and counter weights. You can get more information from www.jamiesplanet.com.

Thanks,
Jamei

We at J-Speed Inc. value our customer service and will respond when appropriate.

Jamie's statement is incorrect. As per our installation instructions included with all SSP's as well as the installation videos, customers will want to ensure that the SSP is slid as far LEFT as possible (toward the passenger-side fender) in order to keep the shift linkage from rubbing.

Please let us know if there are any further questions.

Regads,

J-Speed Inc.

Well I stand corrected. I guess that's what it takes to get an "appropriate" response.
