rice plate, turboed go away? I'm missing something.

The rice plate was something that mopar and others made to place between the blow off valve; it redirected part of the waste gases to atmosphere instead of back into the intake tubing. If I can find a pic of it ill post one later. We were laughing at how he thought his car was the only turbo car there and the fact that he was too good for us all.

Anyone who doesn't think they're quick is crazy and they definitely don't look that bad in my opinion.

That thing about the rear windows being manual crank though, thats ******.

What are the odds there is thread on the EVO and SRT-4 forums that reads something like:

"Why are all MS3 owners such assholes?"

Like swampass, take a dick out of a SRT-4 and put him in a new BMW M3 and he is still a dick, albeit a lucky one.

I have also founded out, 350Z owners vary between normal and sneaky douchebags. I have founded 2 normals guys, and 2 sneaky a-holes that would pop their hood but kept saying they were stock but were, etc etc...they like to do that a lot.maybe because a lot of them looks stock and are stock for the most, but hooked on NOS...

I ran into a goldish SRT-4 on Sunday. It was very clean,well taken care of. Im not sure of the mods but when he came up on me, he knew exactly what i was driving... He goosed it a bit and we took off from about 40... i pulled him pretty hard than landed at a light. Just as we were about to take off, a cop rolled to the opposite side of the intersection. Needless to say, we didnt go but he sure stared at his car because of the loud exhaust. Guy seemed really cool as we were side by side for a bit. He waved and such and went out seperate ways. This is my first SRT-4 encounter. I was really hoping to go at it from a light with him.

I agree. I respect all cars, and I can type this and admit this fully. A modified SRT-4 taunted me one time in my Speed 6. Yes I'm bone stock, and I thought it would be fun to see what that thing could do. Long story short, I GOT SMOKED BAD. It wasn't even close. Those cars have more mod potentiel right now then the Speed 3, so just be careful. They aren't anywhere near as nice, but those suckers can FLY. The rolling power of that car left my poor Speed 6 in the dust.

Bone stock vs bone stock, it would be quite a race between the SRT-4 and the Speed 3, but in all honesty I gotta say, SRT wins. It's so underestimated, that it's putting as much or more WHP then the stated flywheel HP. For that time in 2003-2005, it was the best speed for the buck. Even the Speed 3 isn't a better bang for the buck based on pure speed ONLY.

I know a guy who got one brand new for $18500. Still though, as much as I respect that car for it's power, I'd never own one. They just cut too many corners to make it affordable. You can definitely see a $3k+ cheaper car overall when compared to the Speed 3. ):

I posted this in another thread. I raced an SRT-4 last night on the highway. I was behind him and it was moderate to nigh-heavy traffic. I came up hard and he did the old 'brake' thing people do when they aren't watching the road in front, but the cars behind them. I downshifted to 4th, engine was screaming around 4500, and I shot around him like a buttered pig on a slip and slide. When I was half around he saw the badging and downshifted and started chasing me, Hollywood opposite-lanes style until he was beside me. I got into 5th and jetted around a semi from the right lane, into the middle, effectively cutting him off. He was right behind me, and we had all kinds of real estate in front. I opened it up and he was back there, but couldn't hang, don't know if he wasn't shifting right or if my car just had his. My exit came up and I got into the right lane again, and he got alongside me (I slowed down a little) and just stared me down, I gave him a nod, got one back, and then we both downed to 4th again and punched it. I was about 3/4 car length in front halfway up the ramp, and then I had to slow down. It was great because since I got Akemi in MAY (yeah, I named my car after a Japanese chick, it's kind of an inside joke for anyone who's seen Urotsukidoji), I haven't had a single bite on racing. People, surprisingly, in Indiana just won't race a hatchback... I've teased Mustang GTs, Beamers, I even teased a Vette knowing I'd get handed my ass, but just plain wanting SOMEbody to fricking race me. So my first race ended up being a same-class compact ricer, which was cool; but I have to brag about beating a Neon, which is weak, no matter what was under the hood of it. LMAO.

i don't know man, you seem a little cockey yourself. what kinda mods do you have that toasted the neon? i am not calling bs, just pretty curious. my buddy has a modded ms6, tbe, fmic, cai, standback etc. i put buslengths on him with my neon.

once again i am not bashing your car, nor am i trying to be rude. but IMHO you shouldn't have been "cutting" him off and weaving in and out of traffic. kinda seems like you were being the arrogant dick huh?

My experience here in Miami is as follows...lol:

EVO's - Haven't had a chance to play with b/c everytime I see one a) driver is arrogant, or b) doesn't want to play with me at all. I have had many occasions but nothing...

SRT 4's - Haven't met one yet that has smoked me and then they don't even have any respect to nod or anything after... I have eaten alive 4 srt's and the last one sounded and looked sick.

Mustangs - Pretty cool, haven't met a dickhead driver yet.

i saw a tweeked neon yesterday and it actually look sweet....on the outside. carbon fiber hood and trunk, bigger stock rims (looking anyway) huuuuuuge front mount. and get this....it was a chick. woot woot. ida ****** her in her car to make the interior look a little better. maybe add some accents on the door handles...lol.

people are just proud of what they drive...I have found that it doesn't matter there are always going to be people that make a bad name for a certian car when there should not be. I love all cars esp. ones like the ms3 / srt-4/ and the wrx...why ? because they are all affordable fun. I give props to any car that can run the 1/4 miles times( because that's what I am into) and cost what our cars do. Don't get mad when people act like fools....just be the bigger person and don't let it effect you. It's not worth it. People let their arrogants (sp?) get in the way of what could be good friendships all over a car. For instance...last time I was at the track there were 2 cobalt ss's and 1 srt-4. This guy in one of the cobalts started talking crap about the srt and how he woud beat that piece of sh*t and yada yada..this was right after I just told the guy that his cobalt was nice ( heck it was faster than I was running that night) I immediately walked over to the guy driving the srt and struck up a conversation with him...guy was very nice and polite. He showed me the mods on his car, which were very little. He didn't say anything to anyone else...just stood there while he could obviously hear what these guys were saying about his car. I was shocked that he could take that as I would have wanted to beat this guy down for what he was saying....then 15 min later the srt beat us all in the import class. The guy in the srt didn't have to say anything at all....he let his car and most importantly his driving do the talking. That man gained my respect and was a good example of how to handle situations with idoits.

I always try and be a nice guy but have no problem shutting down the prick cutting and weaving through traffic in his civic ex.

they usually show you respect after you kill them.
i raced a wrx the other day that kept flying by me and cutting me off.
after i killed him, he was a nice guy all of the sudden.

the muscle guys are usually the most humbled. i've raced camaro's and trans am's and mustangs. they were all nice, except for a WS6.

usually cocky people want a fast car, to feed their cockyness.
