SRT-4 intercooler

Bump for an old thread. Search does work!!

So has anyone used the SRT4 FMIC yet? I too have noticed quite a few for ~150.

And the Ion was what 26x6x3?

Sorry man but that still doesn't answer the question of whether or not it'll work, or for that matter, if anyone has tried it????

i don't know if it will fit but of corse i'tll work, as long as it's plumbed properly. what are the dimensions of a stock one and i may be able to tell weather it'll fit.

There is one on ebay. He says the rough dimensions are 26x6x3.
I am sure that the dimensions will fit, but was just curious as to if anyone has actually tried it, and what the results were. If not I may just be the first.

well msp35, let me know if it works and where you went to have the pipes done and i might also do it at the same place.

p.s. good luck if you try it.

i have my stock srt-4 intercooler id be willing to part with. it only has 2,000 miles on it....it's perfect.

Well, honestly I'd rather buy from someone here than SRTforums anyways. How much do you want for it? Can you email me a pic or post here....timmy_60957@yahoo.com?

Since it is getting warmer here I have noticed sever heatsoak since messing with that spring resistance mod.....time for upgraded IC.

Thanks.

i sent you a pm.

Please keep us up to date with this. There seem to be a lot of SRT-4 owners that upgrade and are willing to sell their FMIC for a good price. Also, I'd love to see a list of tube sizes and silicone couplers/humps that are needed. DIY SRT-4 FMIC thread would be ideal for the budget modder. Good luck!

That is exactly what I would work on. But, I am not sure if I'll personally piece together piping. I am thinking of a local exhaust shop "Redd's Muffler" in Urbana to either bend some pipes, or I'll buy various bends and have them use that.
Then of course have the inlet/outlet moved from back to the sides. I awaiting pics right now for an IC.....ahem!

go to ebay and you can get one for less than $200 with the end tanks where you want them core legth with end tanks 28'' hight 6'' a little onthe small side width wise it's 2 3/8 outlet abd inlet size 2.75 this sholud work u just have fit it right
