Squeaky Mornings!

WHat's up everyone?

Okay so a quick question,
First, In the mornings my car squeaks, squeals, (dunno proper term), for a little while, like especially in the cold weather, and up until the engine has warmed up. I went to my mechanic and he said it was my drive belt and that i should have it replaced. I mentioned tightening my belt tensioner and he looked at it and said that specific type can't be tightened. SO replacing of the belt...It was 26 and change for the belt and $50 for labor.

So anyone have good suggestions? ANy help is appreciated from a fellow mazda owner! (wrc)

Could the tensioner pulley bearings be going bad, and with the cold temperature making the pulley squeal until it warms up?

Are these squeeks during idle or when you are actually driving? If it is while driving, can they possibly be coming from the struts and shocks? They have a tendency to make this noise when it is cold outside, but relax as they get broken in for the day.
