Has anyone tried these lowering springs in their P5? They are on sale right now, and they give a 2 inch drop. Plus they are made in the US.

With all the problems everyone is having with thier Spool springs, it has made me look else where. I like the Eibach but not enough drop for me.

Here is a link to Dr. Import.com with the springs listed.

I haven't tried these yet, but there is a guy near me that has these springs on his P5 w/ 17inch 5Zigen Fireball's and the car looks great. There is maybe a one finger gap b/t the top of the tire and the fender. When he is driving it looks like the car is sitting right on the tire. Nice! I am looking at the Sprint, Tein S-Tech springs and/or the GroundControl coilovers, I can't decide. Hope this helps.

RazorP5, you wouldn't be biased towards the Tein's would you? Just kidding. I know the drop is like 1.8"-F, and 1.5"-R, does the car sit even, or is the front slightly lower than the back. This has been my concern, all the P5's I've seen with the eibach's, for example, seem to sit a tad lower in the back than in the front, same with the H&R's. I would prefer the front to sit even with, or slightly lower than the rear, and that's why I've considered the GC's.

you be the judge, i dont think so...here is a pic i took before i got my rims but with the teins installed

I have been throwing around the GC's but I have read and talked to people to go with the lowering springs instead of coilovers especially if you are hauling around the family. 1 wife + 2 kids and my self. Then throw in the trip to Costco and now we are really pushin' it lower. We could always take the wifes Discovery but that does not get the best gas mileage and right now with gas @ $1.90 man 25 bucks just to fill the P5 and another 40 for the Discovery.:'( So springs is where I am looking. Do you know if he had any problems like the Spool springs not setting in right?

go with the teins

First I must say RazorP5 I am impressed with how much you are all over this board.
Next, from one graphic design guru to another I like what you are doing for other users with Photoshop either on a Mac or PC you are doing very well.(usa)
Now, how much did ya spend on the Tein springs?

thank you for the compliments...i try to help out everyone.

as for the springs, i think i paid around 150 shipped from another member on the board used...ive been very happy with them thus far...

KMac-

I'm not sure if he had any settling prob's or not, but the next time I see him I will ask. I wish I could be of more help.

Thanks, I appreciate it. Found them on ebay also and another set of springs.

I GOT SPOOLS!

I got a set of Spool springs for sale that are brand new!PM me if you might be interested.
Matt;)

since when is anybody having any problems with SPOOLs? Mine are great, and best of all they don't make any noise, unlike those fake adj. coilovers like GC and SKunk2

well.. ill add my 2 cents here. i am in no way a mazda expert seeing as though i ve only had my bf for only a month or so. but as far as sprint is concerned, i have nothing but praise for the co. im sure my b12 weighed in alteast about 200lbs more than my 86 323, but as far as cornering and handling , they are great! the handling was superb and there was no bounce at all. those of u that are 18 or younger my like that sort of thing. but those of us that have done the heated springs and such about a decade ago can do without our vertabrae slamming together everytime we run over a wad or gum. again, i have no experience with sprints on a mazda. just giiving my objective from the nissan side. cornering was nice also!

For some reason they had to replace quite a few rear springs, sound like they where made wrong. So I am a little weiry about them until they get everything worked out.

Looks like Spint Springs are made in Cali I have done a little research on them, I am still trying to find out more. Maybe a group buy will come later.
