Springs for the 2010 speed 3?

FYI, I got my Eibach Sportlines in the mail last night. I am going to try to install them today. We will see how it goes. They are for the 2009 Mazda 3 hatch. Not the speed 3. The the spring rate will be really different. I will update with results.

This is going to be very interesting. I was going for the 09 speed springs. The spring rates might be off but in reality the car shouldn't fall apart because of them. Mine should be arriving soon.

yea, I am worried about it scrapping. But the softer spring rate would be pretty slammed. So we will see how it goes.

Update from TireRack regarding H&Rs for the 2010 mazdaspeed3....

"H&R has still not started shipping the '10 Mazdaspeed3 kit, but it looks like they're finally getting close. The estimate is now sometime around the end of March. We currently have more on order with H&R than we have customer orders for, so we could get you a set from the first shipment. Pricing for the kit is still $206 plus shipping.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions or to place your order by phone, or just put my name in as your sales contact if you order online.

Thank you,
Walt"

Update direct from John @ H&R.

He said he can't disclose the new spring rates at this time but he said there is a difference between the 1st and 2nd gen MS3. He confirmed that they will received their springs on March 11th and will be releasing them within a day or two of receipt.

Get ready, we're about a week away!

He also noted that he has had reports of the 1st gen springs being used on 2nd gen with no apparent problems but he cannot comment on long-term use. He did mention that he believes the perches are different between 1st and 2nd gen.

Hope this helps.

So I tried to install my 09 Mazda3 springs. Not MS3! i wanted to see how low it would get! But I cant get the spring compressor over the rear springs. Also, Do I have to take off the sway bar to do this. I stopped cause I was expecting to be done in an hour or less. But I spent an hour making plans to get the LCA to hang lower cause even with it seperated from the Strut and Rotor assembly it was to tight to get the springs out. So I put everything back together and got my errands done. So I would like to try again this weekend. Any suggestions or ideas?
