Spring Meet?

Yeah, this is the main parking lot located right off the road. If you looking AT the main building, park over to the right, basically where all the other Mazdas are. :D

I know the spot. If I don't see any, I'll know I came on the wrong day. (confused)

How does everyone feel about an alternate place at Tom Sawyer. Someone mentioned this on 502ss:

Apparently it's nice and shady, has a gazebo and grill. I'd have to call and reserve it for that date. Anyone else like this idea better?

Okay, well that's enough for me. Let's meet there instead. Diehonda, can you update the first post to include that spot. I'll call soon to reserve it.

Update:

EP Tom Sawyer is closed this weekend for reservations, so I'm going to call Monday to reserve that spot. It has a men and womens restroom, electricity, water, grille, and a covered shelter that can accomidate 50 people. And there's a nice huge field all around it. So perhaps we could bring some volley balls and footballs and frisbees and what not. Make it a nice family event. Cook out and enjoy the nice spring weather.

crap, i have to work that weekend. i get off work at 5 which is on springhurst blvd by tinseltown. how late is everyone going to be there?

Okay, if we could update the first post. We will be meeting at Shelter 3.

Here are directions for those not familiar with the area.

Take the Westport Rd. exit off I-265 and head WEST.
Turn LEFT onto Freys Hill Rd.
Follow this road around the park to the back. When you come to a T-intersection, take a RIGHT onto Lakeland Rd.
Shelter 3 will be on your right. Just look for the Mazdas.

Should you get lost, my cell# is 502.718.1754.

And a note: The Westport/Freys Hill intersetion street names are hard to read. This is the intersection that has a Chic-Fil-A and Cheddars, Homedepot, Thorntons, and some custard place.

Also, while I'm more than happy to put up the money to reserve this spot, any donations are accepted. If everyone chips in like $5, it should cover the expense of the shelter. This is purely optional though.

I hope you guys have a great time. It looks to be a pretty day for the event. Unfortunately, I won't be there. Betty and I will most likely be at a car show in Richmond to support Paul Newman's Hole in the Wall Gang camps.

I don't mind pitching in $5. What are we doing for the food situation? Want me to bring some hamburgers or hot dogs?

Well, I'm not going to rent the place anymore. Just not worth the money. We'll still meet at that location, we just wont have access to the bathrooms. I'm just going to eat before hand. I figure maybe we can rally up enough people to go on a back road cruise and end up somewhere to eat afterwards.

Not that great of a turn out. Other than Bengilante, I don't think anyone on here showed up.
