hey i am going to spray paint my white black rims untill i have money for some black volks(probably in a month). Does anyone have experience with spray painting powder coated stuff? im obviously going to primer the rims good b4 painting but just curious if it will stick good?

ps. im doing this because im making the car "look" stock to make it a sleeper =)
also my grill and windshield wipers are now flat black and i removed the white graphics on the sides...

blah, do like i did on my g-racings.
if they have a lip just sand the face and stuff you want painted. If theres no lip, use some air craft remover to get them down to the bare metal.
primer them with 1 or 2 coats.
put the paint on them, i think i used like 5 coats on my wheels
clear coat them with 2-3 coats
allow them to dry
go pick up the ladies.

haha i like your last comment, that came outa no where. there is no lip on these rims, so i guess i will try some of that remover stuff you mentioned, where can i attain that stuff?

High Pressure washed on them???

Hey MP3skaterNC,

Have u tried to high pressure washed ur painted rims?? from like coin wash???
do the paint peel out?? and wat kinda primer am i lookin' at here??
j/ regular primer or somethin' special???

im sure just a regular primer should would fine...im def going to use that air craft remover stuff first though, that seems like it will take the clear on the rims off easy.
