Hey guys well here are the results. I want to remind you this is with a slipping clutch and stock exhuast! This was also supposed to be tuned on the dyno by toyomoto but unfortunatly they have been very busy so the car is not professionaly tuned but done by me and very crude, I might add. Hopefully next thursday I will be able to get it dynotuned finally by toyomoto.
Well at 5psi I spun the rollers to the tune of 161 wheel hp. At 8psi I turned out 188 wheel hp. I want to remind everbody this is wheel hp not flywheel power like the way manufacturers rate cars. You have to factor in a 15% loss for driveline friction ect. THat puts my 188hp to about 215 engine horsepower.........that is on an untuned ecu, stock exhaust and slipping clutch. I think I can coax out 200 wheel hp on 8psi with a full exhaust and tuning.

That turbo sings baby!!! The car feels faaaaaaast!!! even at 5 psi it feels like the car should have came that way from the factory. My friend has a worked up type-r that is very quick and he said that my car feels way faster. But the car is a joy to drive....I am very happy, tottaly changes our car and the suspension and the chasis feels perfectly powered.
 
Nice shiat bro. I would love to have a ride in it. Can you do us all a favor though.......try to strike some kind of deal for that exhaust manifold. If I do decide to go turbo (if the money shows up), I already have a turbo lined up.

Do you have your injector on yet and how long do you think it'll be till you get the exhaust on? Please keep updating us.

Awesome Numbers Spoolin I'm sure you are making a little more than me since I'm non-intercooled at 5 PSI but i shoudl be close at that low of boost. I've decided to go top mount and put in a hood scoop. Intercooler will go where the battery is now. I'm taking the manifold off today to take some new measurements to make a new one out of thicker steel. Mine cracked but nothing bad but I dont' want to risk it. I'm reinforcing mine today. It feels great though to pull up next to someone that would never expect a Turbo Pro and just kill them :D
 
Both of you just kick a$$!! I would love to put a turbo on my ride but the funds just are not there right now. I will do so ASAP and you two are gonna play a BIG role in helping the rest of us out. Let us know what you guys are killing out there on the streets :D I cant wait for you guys to line up next to a ZO6 Corvette and smoke him in a strait line as well as in the twisties, hehe :D That would be awsome!

I can tell you now before I was worried about Si's...well no more lol i'm spanked all the tricked out Si's here in Asheville except one that has a votec charger and a Zex kit but his daddy is also the head surgeon at one of the hospitals here and he gets whatever he wants. I've also made a mustang GT think twice about imports a time or two. And just think thats non-intercooled right now :D
 
Well I dont know if I can smoke a z06 thats some serious machinery....If I go forged internals(I plan on doing that next year;) ) I can run 18psi and then I can smoke what ever I please. I have not raced anybody due to my slipping clutch but the first person I will race is my buddies ITR :)
 
Hey Spoolin what internals are you going to go with? I'm going to go with JE 8.0:1 forged pistons and Crower rods and get my stock crank balanced and push about 15 PSI. RU goign to Nopi in Pigeon Forge? If so we should meet up there and have a battle royal of the turbo 3rd gens even though I know you will spank my ass!!! Should be a good race though.
 
I'm sure a Turbo'd MP3 will be quite fast, but beating even a stock Z06 will be a feat seeing as how even an idiot driver should be able to crack off a 13.2 in the quarter. That's more the 3.5 seconds faster than out MP3's in stock form. Road & Track as well as others have gotten as low as 12.4, I'm not saying it's impossible, but it's just not a reasonable goal. Mid to low 15's is what I'm hoping to see you guys get at 8-10 PSI. 12-14 You should be able to run low 14's
 
CH I dont know what I will be doing for internals in the future....but my compression will defintly be dropped. I was thinking about something exotic like some imco titanium rods. As for NOPI I will not be going but I will be riding up to north carolina in July!!! For the GAP ride......check out car meets and look under THE BEST CAR MEET!!!!. Good work!!!!!!!!!! I will be very interested in how the car holds up with the turbo.......I hope it really works out........Because i am going to turbo when my warranty is up.....that way i can save for a few years.........You guys now have the true G ride.......Hope you smoke some people....
