how does it compare to injen?? this question is not targeted specific for spool but for all user of spool's cai as well

The Injen is made out of Aluminum. The Spool/Ion is made out of Stainless Steel. The Spool doesn't replace all of the plastic like the Injen/Ion does.
As far as performance wise I am not sure how they all compare as I only have the one from Spool.
The Injen is definately more showy than either Ion/Spool. If you plan to upgrade to hard pipes and a BOV later on it is best to go with Ion/Spool. That way it will not be in the way.

Cirielle but those plastic that are not replaced are replacable if you get the hard pipe kit and/or fmic kit from spool right?

also wonder why he went with stainless steel and why ion went with aluminum....what was their design objective.... mmmm....meditate on this i will

The pics up on their site show it all. The plastic piece is still left on even with the hard pipe upgrade.
Spool does everything in stainless steel. I thought ION did as well. Are you sure their CAI doesn't come in stainless?
I don't know the design objective of either.

YuYuRena - actually for all of our piping it's stainless. Aluminum does have good cooling properties, however it wouldn't withstand the chance of corrosion as well as specific resonance frequencies which would cause the MAF to mis-read.

Actually aluminium has excellent corrosion properties. Aluminum is also lighter and expells heat faster. However it also retains heat faster. There is no "superior" advantage that aluminum has over stainless except for the fact that it is much lighter. Actually most CAI are made of aluminum, we just utilize stainless since that is our material of choice.
Either way both are excellent materials for intercooler plumbing and CAI's
