Spintech Muffler

I am going and getting the resonators removed tomorrow and the dude at the shop was telling me that they can put some muffler on and kinda give me a 350z ish sound.... i am not so sure about that so i told him to hold off on the mufflers just do the reso's. I am trying to find a muffler to just weld in and have had a v6 mustang and a Ls1 gto in the past runnin Spintech ProStreet and they sounded awesome so was wondering what they would sound like on a turbo 4.... Any one know? Which one of these will i need to fit stock pipe?

Thanks a bunch guys, might go ahead and do it and see if it turns out well, if no its only $100.00 bucks down the drain, trial and error you know.. I'm looking for just muffler so dont suggest to get a full system because i dont have the money nor need for one. Thanks

get a 2.5" muffler for the stock exhaust pipe...

Yes. But make sure you are measuring inside diameter at 2.5 inches, not OD (which is about 2.8 inches) or you will lose power.

I guess you are going for a change in sound to suit your personal preference? We all like to customize and it's good to find a sound you like. But if you are looking for a power gain, it will not happen by changing muffler and/or deleting resos.

The stock CBE flows extremely well, far better than the inherent limits of our K04 turbo.

The restrictions in the exhaust are there and they are significant, but they are upstream from the CBE -- they are in the downpipe and the two low-flow stock catalytic converters.
