Spicy, how is the intake now...

Spicy,

It has been a few weeks now, and I was wondering how is the intake behaving? You had originally mentioned your engine dying or stumbling at idle, but has that subsided or worsened? I guess I am just looking for your opinions long term as opposed to when you first had it installed...

I love it, Sounds awesome. I would reccomend it highly! There WAS a problem , with the car shutting off at low rpms but I get my car back today (3/7/03) with it fixed. I will have pricing info in about two weeks or so.

Waste gates and blow off valves are a totaly different thing.
One is on the exhuast side and vents gas around turbo the other is on te intake and releases air into the air when the throttle plate closes.

the BOV is the circular thing, almost in the center of this pic

Spicy,

Will they have that BOV pipe delete option ? I got an atmospheric release Turboxs BOV, I would have no need for that piping.

Thanks

The stock BOV is "extremely" small looking compared to this Greddy Type S I have here.. Will the Type S even work?!

sorry, but this post kinda confused me...When I buy an aftermarket BOV, it's gonna replace that ugly little plastic thing, right?? Do I still use that silocone hose it's connected to, or change it over to metal??

Yes, you will replace the stock Bypass valve. But DO NOT use a atmospheric valve, you will only cause idle and stumbling problems.

Boostisgood, send it back, get an H25 unless you plan on running a standalone management system with a MAP sensor.

nope, the APEXI s-afc will solve the issue. no need for the Standalone. I get that before the BOV goes in. I do appriciate the advice, but knew that it would happen without 1 of those 2.

:D

Man that looks so nice.....it says 6psi to 60psi so theoretically it would be ok for our car but oh well....i really want a venting BOV. Later
