Nothing done as of yet but minor update Coilovers will be coming to my build soon. I sold my Tokico/Eibach set up over the weekend and just need to save the rest to buy the Yellowspeeds. Then my suspension will be complete right now its on jack stands and I dont like that look...lol

let me know if this update help your 1.6 to do it to my tooNot sure if I posted a pic of my cams gears and pulley set but heres a pic of them also heres the finished product of the rims I was working on I was supposed to work on my rims yesterday but we ended up going out to eat with my brother so today i will start on them, and do my valve cover gold pearl. Will do I only have them since I need to adjust due to the Jspec Exhaust cam unless you have cams Im not sure if itll be worth it but im no expert Ill let you know either way.

Well i sold my suspension a few weeks ago and its been sitting on jack stands since then. Thanks to a few fellow members I was able to source a temporary suspension i have a set of oem struts and some MSP springs and some rusty as hell top hats...lol. These will have to hold me over till i save up for coils which are next on the list but heres a few parts ive received since i last posted

This was a very productive weekend. First off big thanks to Repthemazda for lending a hand. We started off by cleanig out my shed and organizing the s*** out of it and setting up some shelves looks real good now. Also when my brother built the shed he made the cut outs for the windows but he moved out before he could install them. So when I bought the house I never got around to doing them till this weekend definitley made a big difference. So now im one step closer to having my powder coating shop complete just need the oven and power and im set. Heres a vid for your viewing pleasure close to the end of the video is Joseph's audition for American Idol...haha That place was a ******* MESS before couldnt even walk in all that pile was s*** going into the trash. its not completely finished yet still need 1 more window, finish organizing and move my equipment to the the shed.

As for the car progress some progress was made, Joseph wanted to get his hands dirty and work on my car so i told him to have at it, it was a win win in my book...lol. Removed the LCA's gonna get some Pedders bushings to install, and while the spindles are off im gonna swap on my KVR drilled rotors, and finish coating my ES calipers gold and slap that all back together. The front subframe was swapped out so now i have the 01-03 subframe and can mount my GT Spec 4pt Ladder Brace. We also mounted my fans to my radiator, I installed my Mazda5 intermittent wiper stalk, and my AWR mounts just the sides for now. Removed the AC compressor, power steering and all that junk to clean up the bay a little more. They are going back in but its easier to work with out them in the way. Also got some quick release battery terminals, put my trunk back on for now gonna drill the holes for the MP3 spoiler next time. And finally swapped out my messed up fender for a better one, so now theres only a couple of dings that need to be repaired before paint can begin.
We took a cruise over to pick and pull because my condensor fins were all bent up got me a used one in good shape for $25 also got the bushings for the bottom of the radiator since i lost mine along time ago. while installing the fans i realized that i tossed my oem ones w/o snagging the connectors off of them before, so picked up one of them the other was no where to be found. Gotta go back to Pick and Pull sometime weekend after next weekend to return the core and hope they have some more 99-00 proteges they only had 2 and there wasent much of them left.
More progress will be made weekend after next for round 2. This is the Year of the Protege it will be running and painted before summer if not sooner.

I just aquired a rare no longer found part to add to my list of hard to find parts i just worked out a deal and got me a BNI"P" Kartboy Short Shifter. Im trading my almost new TWM and some powder coating work for it but its all good now my Karboy shifter bushings will be paired up with its long lost friend the shifter and they can be one forever...haha I'm also gonna install the TWM in the other guys car, in the end i feel its a good deal everyones happy he gets a shifter i get a Kartboy he gets some coating i do some coating its a win win in my book..haha

Actually yes i finished it last night im driving it as i type you should see it its spectacular. And im broke so im not buying anything that shifter didnt cost me a penny just a swap and some coating. So suck it...haha It will be running again this year that I promise this is the year or the Protege it wont be completely done but it will be running and driveable. The finished motor will go in later when i have the money to get the PnP done EMS, and the coils

Sorry haven't been on in awhile. Build is going great man! Sorry about rusty top hats. Lol it's weird body has no rust but a lot of the car parts do. Lol. Everything looks good man! Lovin all the new parts! Where those projector head lights? Or did you put those together?

Are you talking about the corner lights those came that way. they arent projectors and thanks man and no worries about the rust they are just temporary till i can get some coils. TBH its better than nothing

Oops sorry man. First glance they looked like projector head lights. Those look sweet! Wish my cc's looked like those! Mine are clear but still have reflective stuff on them. Finally goty gauges in! Looks great! But I didn't know that the temp sensor was a standard thread. So I gotta do something different. Just waiting on parts now. Can't wait to see your car together!

nice build, i literally went through every post on your build haha. had a about an hour to kill last night at work so i did some reading. i have a question though, were u able to mount up the rear MS3 seats? im buying a set of front seats and if i can, i would want to complete my set with MS3 seats all around insinde of my MSP
