Speed limiter

How do you get rid of the speed limiter that kicks in at 132-135 range. I know you guys have posted before that there isn't one but I know for damn sure there is I get up there all the time and the car just dies at those speeds. My buddy has a 92 camaro that had the same problem just a one 110 and he jumped some wires in his ecu and fixed the problem in 10 mins. Any ideas??

alright good idea "slow down" great idea actually but it's not going to happen. now i didn't ask how to slow down I know where the brake is.

ok, I heard that our cars are drag limited, but I've only been up to 120 in my Protege - and that was on the old engine, before it was turbocharged.

You'll need 500+hp* to reach the end of 5th gear, the Protege is too drag limited.

500hp, you must be joking, right? people have topped out 5th gear in protege 5's with less then 250whp...from what i know they did put a speed limiter in the MSP though..

ive got the p5 up to 135(no one on turnpike, was 3 am),didnt feel like goin faster that was fast enough, so i know theres not a speed limiter on them, no clue about msp's though..

there isn't one on any of them..its just drag limited..it acts a little quirky like a limiter, but not many people can honestly say they have been up that fast, only people with aftermarket boosted proteges and hooked up MSP's..and me.

alright then get yourself an msp and tell me there is no speed limiter then i will listen until then don't takl unless you can prove it. with that said i can and have many times I will post a vid of what happens soon hen tell me that it is not limited.

the call pulls hard until it hits the limiter then just cuts the fuel out until it drops below 130 then kicks back in. now if drag can do that it is a miraculous thing.

haha ok bud. i've gone insanely fast in my dx..i also owned a titanium MSP before this, so you might want to re-think your statement. moreover, i've gone faster than you can dream of. Trust me. there is no speed limiter on any of the new proteges.

haha..thats because i dont actively drive 130 in my car..dipshit..there isn't a speed limiter..you'll need more power to break 130..tell ya what..go turn your boost wayyy up! that will help..come back to me in a couple days and tell me how that worked out.

i have already done that and same problem...dipshit...at 15 pounds it did the same. oh except it kicked in harder.
