Speed 6 misfire

Just dropped the car off yesterday for the 32000km oil change, and coincidently the CEL light came on sunday as I was leaving a friends several hours after arriving there earlier in the morning. The shop here said it was a cylinder # 1 misfire, the spark plug had been arcing, so they were going to replace the plug and then change the coil too. I have a rental right now (pos base Sentra) but anyway, they had to order the coil in. Is there anything I should be worried about? I only drove the car for a max 20 minutes in town, and was definately flogging it as I could tell it was not operating correctly and did not want to damage anything. Opinions? Thanks.

Well I got the car back, and after a week and a bit of driving it since the fix, the main problem has gone away, however I feel that something I noticed before and just thought was a fuel issue is still there. What it is, is that when I am in 4th or somtimes 5th gear accelerating to get onto the highway I have a bit of a spit/sputtering noice/feel and then it goes away. The car does seem slower on the turbo since they did the newest ECU update, as I refused it the last time I was in because it was said to slow accel the turbo and smooth out 1st and 2nd gear boost. Original post was due to 0-5psi boost with CEL on, which they said was due to the coil/spark plug. Far as I know this is direct coil to plug, and no wires. So what could the high rpm sputter be from if not resistance in a wire? Thanks

Atleast you know what cylinder it is and they are able to fix the prob...I get randoms...s***... Have you had the HDFP replacement???

(drive2)that's the same problem i had, my cel light came on and the dealer told me cylinder#2 was misfiring and had to order the part.question is,why did it happen and will it accur again?
