looks real nice. I would get a 2.5" or 3" highflow cat and leave the exhaust/headers until you can get into FI because the headers will have to be taken out if you turbo, and a HF cat will make more of a difference than a catback system from my 4 experiences on 3 cars. those specVs are sweet cars, get a little boost and you ll be beating that mazdaspeed
3 inch on a NA car ? (scratch)

Maybe after I'll that stuff you'll be able to actually see me when I blow by you down the road. Haha, just kidding man.

Aside from when I was in track mode, we were about the same speed all the time. Its always a good race. Good to see you here!

Be careful with 3rd gear...I'm not up to date on SE-R issues, but as I recall, 3rd gear is weak (thin gear) and people are blowing transmissions. Not sure if it affects you though

looks good, i'm in love with your tailights just so you know. Those new SE-R tailights get me everytime. Welcome the board and good luck with your future plans.

Also, weren't the 05's supposed to have a silver/chrome grill or something or is that 06. I thought i saw a picture of one from Nissan? I'm also on crack so who knows.

Pluto316: Yes, its the Duplicolor "Mirage" paint kit

Jersey emt: Yeah. 3rd gear was a huge problem in the 2002/2003, but the 2004 is actually free of 99% of the bugs that the earlier years had.

mazaspdprotege: Haha, don't worry, I'm going 2.5 since it's NA. I'll only go 3" if I go turbo cause I know 3" on a NA would kill any backpressure and end up hurting me.

CChris704: Thanks, I love the tails also! The 06 hasn't come out yet since it's a complete redesign. The 05 is the last year of the B15 Chassis.

Thanks alot guys, I think I'm really going to feel comfortable here. (yippy)

yes. ideally you dont want a cat at all. The 3" HF cat can be put in the place of the stocker and connect to the stock piping. Sure if you wanna spend the cash to get a full 2.25 or 2.5" mandrel bent system to get another 2hp, then be my guest lol you are also adding weight with an aftermarket system and only gaining very few hp, so there is even less tradeoff. on a turbocar the tradeoff in weight would not be an issue since turbo cars get alot more hp from exhaust work.

2.5" will be a bottleneck past 250hp, so how fast do you wanna go?

I prefer the older the Nissan the better, but I can't say that for Mazda.

Yeah...I can't say I wouldn't love to have the older SR20DE, instead of my QR25DE, but it's still a good engine to work with.

another nissan owner sucked into the dark side. shame.

and jersey, the 3rd gear synchro on the 02 gearbox was bad, but the actual GEAR was bad on the old SR 5-spd box. as was the case.

I too testdrove a SpecV before getting the MSP. I was looking to get that car for months and then for kicks I testdrove the MSP. I guess you all can guess what happened.

Iced methanol injection and high boost. It gets the methanol down to below 40 degrees, and then I shoot it into the intake. It goes fast, but I hit fuel cut sometimes. I'm going to have a new afc before I do it again, though, so that shouldn't be a problem.

04Sexy: You gotta make sure to hit the track in New Jersey with all the MSP guys and have a show down!
