Yup stock vs stock is almost a drivers race, but the edge is going to the spec.
And to be honest, i'd think a lot of us choose Mazdas and Nissans over the rest to be different.
I'd much rather drive a slower Protege or even base Sentra than any Honda, just to be different.
We are a lot alike and it be cool too see 2 forums get along, even though we have different makes of cars.

hey hey, nothign wrong with a sentra se-r, i used to have the 02 spec v. stock for stock, the sentra is lighter and has more hp and a lot more torque. TWO things i didnt like about it was the fact that it was a four door sedan AND it was made in Mexico.

its probably a little less than 98% japanese there dude. I heard somewhere (www.nissanforums.com I think) that some dude found a hat up in between his front fender and the outter wheel well cover on his SE-R.

I'm a member on both boards now and the VBoard has a pretty cool/chill vibe to it from what I can tell. no one went apeshit and started thrashing MSPs and prior to your arrival most people were saying it was a good comparo and that they all looked at purchasing MSPs also. you've gotta recognize that your actions and comments reflect upon this site and the Mazda community as a whole. have some respect if not for yourself, for others. thanks to all who tried to difuse the situation...

the final point is this - the person said somethign bad about proteges in general. frankly i think thats like a focus owner making fun of a civic owner. what room do people have to talk when the car is ugly IMO (which everyone has their own opinion), and sucks. i drove one quite frequently as my friend was a HUGE nissan fan - he had at the same time a Titan, a slightly modded altima, and a slightly modded sentra, in addition to an older "get around" car (nissan 200sx). i raced against it and i drove it frequently and they ******* suck. as big of a nissan fan that he was, he even hated the car so bad he traded it in on an 04 Mazda6 wagon.
