Speakers not working

I'm trying to install a head unit, and whenever I turn the car on to check, there's no sound. I have checked my wiring harness, and they seem fine. I know it's not a fuse because when I plug the stock head unit back in, the speakers work. I also know it's not the new head unit cuz it's the second one I've tried with the same results. Can anyone give me an idea of what it could be?

Update: I've hard wired the stereo in, no harness or anything. All the wire colours are correct, and now when I turn the car on, the message on the stereo says "miswiring, check wiring and reset unit". I don't have the Bose system so I shouldn't have to attach the amp wire, it don't know what I'm missing.
