no they aren't...in fact...NONE of the stock speakers in the P-5 are that size...

the fronts are 5X7's I believe, that or 4X6's...and I know the rears are 6 1/2's

I have aftermarket 6x9's installed in the front doors, I put a reinforment cover around the speaker magnet, so now when I roll down my windows (since the rear windows don't go all the way down) my front windows hit the reinforcer, and match up RIGHT with the rear windows.

FRONT: 5x7/6x8 (same thing)
Rear: 6.5"

this is the same for all pr5's, you can get kits to make the 5x7 a 6.5" so you have can the same speakers all around.

wait
what would u reccomend then?
I'm getting JL XR series..so I don't want to make a mistake lol..those are pretty damn costly..

6.5 coaxial will make a big difference compared to 5x7?
How hard is it to custom fit 6.5s in the front? thanks

LOL i replied to this a month ago, anyways, you can buy a mounting bracket off of sounddomain.com i think.. im not sure, i have 5" components on a plate in the front, click the www button to check it out!

That would anoy the living hell out of me!! I personally cannot see the benefit of having a 6x9 over a 6x8 at the expense of not being able to roll the window all the way down. I really cannot see the need if you also have subs in the car. Sonically speaking, a round speaker produces a more linear sound than an oval one. Component sets are great because they usually offer 2 individual drivers of high quality but make it harder to install the speakers with a true on axis response from the pair. Coaxials are really two different speakers mounted on the same pole and share the same axis, but they do not usually have the highest quality tweeter or mid/tweeter. Wait, what was the topic of this post again?? Can we say, off on a tangent! (rant)
