Hey Everyone,

What Spark Plugs (and everything else) do you choose/like on your Mazda 3 w/ a 2.3L Non-Turbo Engine?

I run NGK Iridiums in mine. TR6IX I believe the code is.

i got a set of bosch platium(wrong part for my car) not even 5 miles on it, i can do $10 shipped..

mazda recommends ngk iridium plugs for the car. those are oem

how often do they need to be replaced?
i was thinking about it the other day

after 60,000 miles for the first time, i would assume they are meant to last 60K each time.

Guess I should not worry about mine then. LOL

I'm just trying to change small things out to gain a little more power and better MPG. Nothing Major until it's Borla time. HA!

you can try to run seafoam or lucas oil treatment, that will boost your mpgs. i normally get like 29-33 mpg, but with the lucas its an additional 5 mpg at least.

I just replaced my original spark plugs, (75k miles on em) i got NGK IX Iridiums! got them from O'Reilys auto parts, for $6.99 a piece, gapped them at 0.44! They seem great! Throttle response definitely has improved, hopefully better gas mileage also! (spin) (drive2)
