Can someone tell me the diameter/size of the Sparco Globe X knob? I have kartboy now and it is a little small for my big hands. Just wanted to see how they compare before I buy.

Note: I googled and searched here b/f I asked. (thumb)

Welcome to the forums!

... .. yeah I can't be of any help though. I haven't seen that knob in person.

Thanks for the welcome......I have been here for a good while soaking up all the good info. I have several things in the works right now including SR boot (purchased) for kartboy setup, header and full exhaust (not purchased). I Hope to actually contribute very soon w/ write ups and installation pics. I really appreciate this website as I have become all but addicted to my P5 and modifying it. Thanks again. (thumb)

hey there

i have that knob on a kartboy shifter...it was smaller than expected, i would have preffered it to be bigger. It is also quite light. I put a bunch of washers over my shifter under the knob to add some weight to it cos there is a hollow area underneath it. The finish is good tho and it looks sweet, screws onto a metal threaded thingie that clamps to the shifter with grubscrews.

hey redastina........

Does the sparco globe x also make it a little taller? I tried a momo evo and it changed the height of the shifter considerably. Obviously the kartboy knob screws right onto the shifter. I had gotten use to the height of the kb knob and want it to stay relatively close. Your washer/weight fix might have made it taller? Thanks for your help.

BTW.....it does look good. (thumb)

I checked your website......do you still carry this knob? I didnt see it. Probably will buy soon.

the overall heaight is no taller tha with a stock knob on, perhaps a little lowwer because the sparco screws on quite low...as you can see in the pic, it comes right down the the shifter boot thing which i raised up around 3mm with washers. If i diddnt do this, there was a gap of the same distance between the bottom of the knob and the shifter boot.
