Space Shuttle Tragety!

I know that this is not the proper place for this post but I DONT CARE. Earlier today the usa lost the space shuttle columbia over texas as it was rentering the atmosphear. I would just like to say that sucks!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes it does. it was an accident and not some attack so that makes it a littel better, but seriosly how the hell does the gov. get away with putting these old ass planes into space and have them keep failing

I see the word keep and I start thinking that space tragedies are a regular occurance. NASA hasn't had that many tragedies since they've been around. Secondly, many airline aircraft are much older than the shuttle craft. Granted this one was the oldest in the fleet but they are designed to last a long time. The sheer economics wouldn't allow a new shuttle to be built everytime one starts to show age. Lastly the astronauts know what they are getting into. I mean their entire profession is based around dangerous missions. It truly is a tragedy that the seven astronauts lost their lives but I don't think we should start blaming the gov't. This is bound to happen because people (not saying you, society as a whole) need to blame someone when things go wrong. Was it an accident (most likely) was foul play involved (who knows), only time will tell.
