something to solve long sig headaches

now i really LIKE the idea of user enabled. if i had to have it one way or the other.

I have to agree with Matthew on this one. First time for everything.(silly) User enabled may be the best way to go on this.

I'am with matt for example we are trying to get people for the GI interest on the projector headlights so it's good that the my sig is on every post so people are well informed if my I posted in page 4 and there are 10 pages I doubt the person it going to read the whole damn thread to see my sig.

what is the point of having a sig if you dont see it?

a "sig" is a signature. do you not sign every letter you write? or just one, per person?

I like the idea of having it per person. i personally am going crazy here. i really dont like not having them. makes me feel naked, especially since so much of the screen is taken up by blank space now.

or, i could always just post my signature (with picture)at the end of every post i make.....

I think that no sigs is bulls***. Isn't there an option in the UserCP that allows someone to hide everyone else's signature should they so choose? If no,t can we make that an option? I personally liek reading al lthe sigs. Comic relief sometimes, and others it lists mods (like mine) so I know what else everone is running.

It's cool, read the thread. They aren't leaving. Just not repeating over and over on the same page.

Hey whats up with the sigs. I know that some peoples sigs are very long but considering some people skip to the end of a thread they may never see it. I can understand if its a bandwidth issue but otherwise why change it.

Not a bad idea let it go for a week to see how the threads clean up and it will grow on people. Then make it user enabled.

What you should do is put a limit on sigs --- 100x600 pixels and no more than 16 kb. If a member goes over that the mods can freely delete it
