I agree. A sig should only be visible in the first post of a user in a given page. Not in a given thread, cause it can go on. But in a given page is reasonable.

blah. not only do i promise i will advertise for vendors in my sig, which takes away about 90 percent of my advertising, people actually use my sig to check out different products they are interested in. also, i like to look at peoples sigs, and if say pro5man says this or that and i want to look at his mod list, now i have to search for the first post which could be on page 2, 3, or 10 of a particular thread. furthermore, blank sigs STILL take up about 1/5 or 1/6 of my screen...so really someone with a sig my size, still takes up about the same amount of room (maybe a little more) as that blank sig. whatever, everyone will flame me, but ive always liked sigs. i think peoples decent sigs outweigh the stupid ones. whatever though.

Sigs are visible only in your first post on a page.

I said page, not thread. Futhermore, if I'm reading your 2nd post on a given page about a topic, there are VERY good odds that I read your first.. AGAIN, on that given page. Not of the whole thread!

ok that makes it a LITTLE better, but i still think it sucks. now for most of the thread we get to see that stupid little message on EVEYRONES s***. blah, how boring. i still contend sigs are cool and break up the monotany.

Actually pro5man if you are careful you may notice they too do it by page, because it's (database wise) much more work to make it the first post of the whole thread than the first post of the currently viewed page. At least if they run a vb that is.

Well all the threads I read over there are the ones I start. And they don't get past 1 page because they don't like me cause I drive a MSP.(sad2) So I never noticed.

I'am with matt for example we are trying to get people for the GI interest on the projector headlights so it's good that the my sig is on every post so people are well informed if my I posted in page 4 and there are 10 pages I doubt the person it going to read the whole damn thread to see my sig.

if u can make it a used option I say YAY! thats the way to go. Some people wanna see the sigs, some people dont want to.

You can turn sigs off, but thats too much for some people...if u can turn this option of only the first page then I think that would go well...lets see what everyone else thinks.
