Great stuff Sir Nuke....Grakkenhall Castle is now my wallpaper. :)

Cool Blue....glad you like them....I like all three castle images....I put together a three CD set of a mix of music and I call the set
"Castles in the Sky" those three images are the lables on the CD's and their cases.

well its now 12:40 a.m. CST on Saturday morning....and today I worked a bit more on my artwork.....I guess when you get on a roll and your imagination is working you just have to let it flow....

before this weekend it had been about 9 months or more since I did ANY new work.....and yesterday I did 7....and today I composed three more....I will get them up on my site soon....like in the morning.

I just started doing animations in Bryce...its really cool....making the skys move.....the sun set.....the trees move in the wind....waves on the water....its really awsome....

if you guys/gals are into Sci-Fi and EVER want to see what this program (BRYCE) is capable of......see if you can find the movie "Planetary Traveler" at your local video store...its only 45 minutes long.....but was totally made with Bryce.......

cya around!!!! (stash)

okay....I didn't wait....before I shut down the box for the night I went in and added the code, uploaded the images...and moved a few images from the first page to the second one....but its done either way....hope you enjoy

bryce is a good program for landscape and etc.

hey sirnuke, ever hear of 3d studio max? its what they used to make the movie final fantasy. its a really great program. you might wanna try to expand from doing only landscapes to actual character design and animation. i've had experience with both, and the capabilities of 3d studio max are far greater then that of bryce. i would recommend it if you want to get more technical with your art.

I am not much into modeling, but have done a little,...however...I have seen some of the most awsome stuff done with bryce believe it or not, modeling that is...there is a way...and the version of bryce I have does animations as well....and I have done just a few....but its something I am just getting into ........ I will keep 3d studio max in mind..... thanks.

yeah, i've seen some pretty awesome things done with bryce, along the lines of what you can with 3d studio max. and sometimes i think, wow they must have done this in 3d studio max, but it turns out they did it in bryce. i think bryce is great for someone like you getting a taste of the computer generated art form. i would surely recommend 3d studio max to you if you want to get into more advanced and complex 3d art. i have the program if you want it...but don't tell anyone....shHHH!!!

I wouldn't exactly say I am just getting started....I am on my second version of bryce...and I have been using it for a few years....as far as your offer....thanks.....however...I have a source right here. shhhhhh :{D

All I need to do is find more time to sit and work on stuff....there always seems like there is something else that HAS to be done though.

hahah alright...i was about to say, your art is pretty amazing to be "just starting." i used to do a lot of 3d modeling before during high school. its pretty amazing how if you just sit around a computer all day, you can put out some pretty amazing stuff. you kind of learn new tricks along the way. start doing more animations!!! those are always more intriguing with some nice music! YEAH!!!

You ever thought of selling your work to Digital Blasphemy ?

No, for the simple reason I want to maintain the rights to all my work.

There is a small art show here now and then and I have been contimplating printing some of it out...framing it...and showing it. Just another thing on the "list of things to do".

I need to explore the different ways to save the animations....the first one I did was 12 seconds long....and was saved in .avi formatt and after rendering....which took 2 1/2 hours...was 160 Meg. I gotta figure out how to "trim" that down.

as far as background music...I don't know how to do that yet either....but would like to....if you want to see something TOTALLY AWSOME that was done with bryce....snag a copy of "The Planetary Traveler"....its out on VHS and its about 45 minutes long. It was produced totally with bryce, and back when it was bryce 2.....if you like Sci-fi stuff it will amaze you.

I first started with Bryce3d.....and really took off with it...then upgraded to bryce 4 and am still using it....its just that I don't get nearly enough time to sit and learn new stuff or even work with it as much as I would like....once again there are just to many other things that are taking priority in my life, like family. The reason I got the work done I did last week and the new additions to my gallery was the fact that I took a week off from work and just did want I wanted to....so I had a chance to work on my artwork....it was nice to get back into it again.

yeah! i know how you feel! rendering takes forever and takes up a lot of space. you should try doing it with different formats and compressions. you could use adobe premiere for adding music and special graphical affects to your movie. also, i believe you can compress your file using premiere also. so that might be a program you might wanna take a look at.

yeah, its always about time. i have no time as of now. these honors classes are sucking up all my time. oh well, maybe after many years of college, and growing up, i will have the time!
