Sold my 350Z for a Mazdaspeed 3

I didn't just get my Mazdaspeed 3 but I wanted to post up some photos of my old ride. The 350Z was fun but just not practical for a family man such as myself. I'm pretty happy with the MS3, it's really fun to drive, seats 5, and it fits all my photo gear. Pretty good compromise if you ask me.

Nice but how was the MS3 such a "Huge downgrade"? If you say in looks I would say sure but as far as performance, neither blow one or the other out of the water, especially if you're talking about an 03' and not one of the newer 350z's.

i would say this is an "upgrade" unless you are comparing to the RWD.

yeah, i would say the only downgrade from stock to stock would be going from RWD to FWD. but that is a hard move to make. i went from RWD to FWD to RWD.

i think that power to weight ratio considered, it is an upgrade. the only downgrade that i think was made was the RWD to FWD.

A "Huge" downgrade would be going from something like an EVO to a Civic.

Again, the 350Z isn't head and shoulders above a MS3 from a performance standpoint. Really, I'm just curious by what you mean by it being such a “Huge” downgrade; perhaps you could feel me in? Educate me.

Because everything must be a competition. EVERYTHING. I clock myself each time I take a dump to beat my personal best. Michael Phelps ain't the only champ in the water, y'know.

Hey Frank, the "Huge downgrade" was actually an excerpt from a thread I posted on 350zmotoring.com The whole sentence read.

"I was worried that it was gonna be a huge downgrade but it actually wasn't too bad. The Mazdaspeed 3 is actually pretty fun to drive."

The 350z is soooo much better looking than the MS3...but that's about it. I too like the MS3 because of it's practicality. Not unlike you I'm carrying "video" gear. Unfortunately that usually takes up even more room than photo.

i made the same move 350z to the ms3 i loved the z but i think i love the speed a little bit more
