Well, I'm thinking of selling my blue 03.5. Bought her brand new off the showroom floor over 1 1/2 years ago with about 2 miles if my memory serves me correct. Perfect condition. She's only got 8200 miles at the moment with the following items installed:

Custom 3" mandrel bent turbo back w/ HKS Carbon Ti
Greddy 60mm EGT and Boost (bar) gauges
HKS Electronic Turbo Timer
Greddy Profec B-SPEC 2
K and N drop in and ground wires I made

I've been a honda mechanic for a few years so all the oil changes and work has been done by me and no one else has touched her. She's perfect condition and according to edmunds I should be asking 21,500-22,000 for her.

I'm wondering what everyone else,if they still chat on the board, has sold their speeds for and how long it took to sell. Ebay seems to be the way to go, I've seen a few sell on there. Just wondering basically how much, where and how long :)

i highest ive seen msps go for was around 14-16k and those were 03s. sorry dood but theres no way yer gonna get close to 20k for it.

21,500 new. I paid 17500 for mine with 36 miles less than 6 months ago. Just an FYI

On top of that, good service or not, mods devalue a car. Your better off turning to stock then selling. If not u need to find somone who wants it modded. Dont expect over 15k though.

Good luck!!

They wer selling for $14998 at a used car lot near here. And that is Retail, not private party...

I look as a car purchase as if I am just going to keep the car forever. You lose you ass if you sell it most of the time. It sounds like you like it and take good care of it. You should probably keep it. It is most likely worth more to you than you are going to get back out of it...

lol I didn't expect that many posts so quick at 12am. I guess this forum has picked up from when I last stopped here.

Goto edmunds.com and put in your info, that's just what they said. Good to see this limited production car doesn't sell for much haha

There's like what, 300 of them left after everyones crashed theres? (spin)

try to sell it for 20k, if you get it, props.

if not, oh well.

cars worth as much as you can sell it for.

Yeah, it's a fun car but I've been burnt out building race/hybrid Honda's in my day so the car just basically sits in the garage. It's a weekend car and moves also when I have to unload / load the dirtbike into the truck. Maybe I'll put it in a time capsule and not touch it for 10 years then bring it out as nostalgia?

I agree that it is worth what you get for it, but I just bought my '03.5 w/ 20k on it for $13,500k (they gave me $8500 for my P5, which I had only paid $9k for almost a year before)

I had mine in autotrader for 3 weeks now listed at $14,500.
I recived a total of 0 calls thats right not one call and not one email. U wil have a hard time selling your car. I found a local buyer from the forum. U might get lucky and find a buyer as your car has low miles.

Yes, I did the entire community a favor by rolling my MSP, because each one is now worth exactly $5 more. How's that for dedication?

um, and what did you PAY for this car??
I mean, don't get me wrong, you get the (bow)if you can get the full original sticker price for your car - which is to say more than most people here paid NEW, but I would call that "stupendous!"

As you can see, there are guys on here trying to sell theirs and getting zilch in interest. I was offered a measely 10k in trade for an 03 with 40k miles (brand new shortblock though) and that would leave me upside-down to the tune of $3k.
:(

I have had my msp in autotrader for nearly three months now. I have gotten two emails for my car. One was a scam, the other offered me 14k. At the time I though I could at least get 15. I realize now that I should have taken the hit and sold it. Good luck. Hopefully you will do better than me.

The MSP has been severely devalued. Many 03 buyers paid sticker or slightly less. As they became harder to sell, people were getting them for $15-$17K. Combine that with all of the complaints about the car, and you can forget about getting what edmunds is telling you to sell the car for. Good luck and I hope you are not upside down on your loan, if you have financed it!
